A Walk Down Memory Lane

Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane

Come for a walk with me down Memory Lane!
And if you have a "Memory Lane" post, head on over to Scottsville to join in on the fun!

Since yesterday was October 13th, I decided to focus on two big things that happened on that day. One a big loss to us, and the other, a miracle.

Five years ago, yesterday, we lost Morgan. She was our beautiful, 2 year old Great Dane. She was our first "baby" and meant the world to us. She was very special, and I miss her so much.

And now moving on to the joy...

Three years ago, yesterday, we saw our baby girl for the very first time. Since we didn't find out the sex, we didn't know she was a girl at the time, but we were so thrilled to see our little miracle. It brought us happiness on such a sad day.

Dylan came along, and immediately pointed at the screen, and yelled, "BABY!" Everybody that saw the ultrasound pictures, commented on her big lips. The first thing we noticed when she was born was that perfect little pout!

  2. Okay, the second picture is clear as a bell (obviously) to me...

    But that first one? I have stared, and stared and stared.... and I can't figure out what I'm looking at?! Leave yourself a comment explaining what I should be seeing and I'll come back in a bit and see what ya said!!! =0)

  4. Yes, exactly what Lisa said! Her face is looking forward, one fist is against her cheek, and the other arm is draped over her forehead.

  7. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, thanks ladies! Now I get it. I was seeing the two arms, but was thinking they were really CROOKED on her torso. Now I see that one is down and the other is up and that's her FACE. Got it!

    I loved, loved, loved my sonogram pictures ---- but I didn't get one of those cool 3D pictures. Guess now I know I couldn't have figured it out even if they had given me one, huh? {{snicker}}
