Lexie now knows what her mommy and daddy's first names are. On several recent occasions, she has woken up and called out to me, "Mommy! Mommy! I awake. Mommy? " When that failed to get a response, she tried, "Stepanie. Stepanie! I awake now!"
Last week, I had a bad cold, and I was trying to get Dylan to nap with me while Lexie was sleeping. He asked if he could sit on the floor and color while I napped. I checked on him every few minutes, and saw the top of his head, and assumed he was coloring. He wasn't. Instead, he had decorated the door to my room with foam stickers. And honestly? They are still there! ;)
Every time I pick Lexie up, she pats my back a few times with her tiny hand. It is the sweetest thing ever, and I don't want her to stop doing it.
Speaking of tiny hands, Dylan's are still small. Not for long.
The kids love watching "Happy Feet." Lexie walked out the other day with a toy between her feet, and said, "Mommy, look at my penguin baby egg!"
Dylan has always done a great job taking care of his teeth. He religiously brushes and rinses with a mouthwash 3 times a day. The other day, I jokingly asked him if he wanted to use his daddy's Listerine. He replied, "No, I like my Listerine. It's spicy!!!"
This is what happens when Lexie gets tired. She stares into space. Grant refers to it as her "glazed over" look.
That is SO sweet! Your kids are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteSwingset? SWINGSET? Where on earth????

I guess there's NO NEED to explain kids! They just ARE funny! =0)
Great tidbits!
Lexie calls you Stephanie ... that is hilarious! Kids really are the funniest people!
ReplyDeleteBoth of them are so cute! They'll love reading through these tidbits when they're older.
ReplyDeleteAidyn pats my back too and when he holds my hand I think I could cry every time haha. This Mommy stuff is the best. :)
Graham also pats me, we could have sworn he said "Joel" the other night, and he works the glazed over look. Guess I could have written this post. :)
