FEBRUARY 19th
While Lexie was at school, Lily and I ran some errands. I picked Lexie up from school and we stopped by the library to pick out some books and to play for a few minutes. The rest of the day was spent at home.
FEBRUARY 20th
After picking Lexie up from school, we returned home for a quick lunch, before heading to gymnastics. While Lexie was in class, Lily and I ran to the store to find a Big Sister shirt for our big announcement. We went back to watch the end of Lexie's class, then returned home for the rest of the day.
FEBRUARY 21st
We had a really busy day! While the big kids were at school, Lily and I went shopping for Lexie's birthday presents. We picked Lexie up from school, and immediately went shopping for her birthday party supplies and birthday outfit. Once home, the girls napped before we had to head out to Noel's birthday party at a nearby resort.
FEBRUARY 22nd
Happy 6th Birthday to my sweet Lexie!!! We celebrated with donuts for breakfast, then I drove the kids and their friend, Jack, to school. I came home and baked a really quick birthday cake, then took a snack to Lexie's class. She was so excited! From there, I went straight to my doctor appointment, where I got to hear the most beautiful sound in the world: the baby's heartbeat!!! I met my friend, Lexie, and Jack at their house and they hopped into my car. We took Lexie to Build-A-Bear and to lunch at Burger King. Once home, the girls napped, then we met Grant at McDonald's for Lexie's birthday dinner! We returned home to open gifts, then went to our friend's house for a bit so we could have Lexie's cake. We returned home and headed to bed somewhat early. Lexie had a great birthday!
FEBRUARY 23rd
Birthday party day! We celebrated Lexie's birthday with two parties and a sleepover! Lily also got to surprise family and friends with our big announcement! It was a long, busy, but fun day!
FEBRUARY 24th
After our really busy week, we decided to spend the day at home! That evening, our friends came over to watch the Oscars with us! It was a late night for all of us!
FEBRUARY 25th
I put the kids on the bus, then got a phone call before school even started, telling me that Lexie had puked on the bus. I ran to pick her up...and that began our week of everybody being sick!!!

Lexie's 6th Birthday Parties
On Saturday, we celebrated Lexie's 6th Birthday with two parties! The first one was for family and the second one was for friends. We have such a big family and group of friends that we have to split them if we hold them at our house!
I felt bad that we were unable to book the library for her party, as originally planned. I reminded her just how lucky she was to have TWO parties, and that made her happy. She had a great day!
Lexie chose a bunny theme for her parties, in honor of her lovey, BunBun, that was the centerpiece on her cake! This made shopping for decor and goody bag items very easy!
My parents arrived early for party #1, and we had Lily share our exciting news! They were shocked, but very happy!!! Lily wore her shirt all day to share the news with our family and friends!
After everybody got some food, Lexie got to open her presents then blow out the candles on her cake!
I have to admit, I've been really bad about taking pictures lately. I honestly feel like absolute crap again, thanks to a 4th round of hyperemesis. It was expected, but it's definitely hard to live with! I did manage to snap a picture of each grandparent and great-grandparent. I apologize to the rest of my family and friends! I really hope that a good friend of mine that came got some good shots!
The first party ended with a fun Just Dance 4 competition. I even got my pregnant butt up there for a bit!
There was a bit of downtime between the parties, so Lexie and her BFF (my great-niece, Aubrey) played with her new toys until party #2 began.
I cleaned up AGAIN and set up for the next party.
Party #2 was even more crowded than the first. I lost count, but I think there were around 20 kids in my house! A group of big kids and a group of toddlers. It was loud and chaotic, but the kids loved seeing their friends and I loved seeing mine!!!
It was a long, busy day, but Lexie had a great time with those she loves the most!!!
It was fairly late when the last person cleared out. Aubrey stayed over for a sleepover, along with our friend, Dom. The kids played while I cleaned up the entire house. It wasn't long before the sweet birthday girl crashed!
I would say that's a sign of a successful birthday celebration!

Counting Our Blessings
We have so much to be thankful for!
#1: Our sweet boy! The boy that made us parents. The boy we fell head over heels in love with the moment we saw him. The boy that touches the hearts of everyone he meets.
#2: Our beloved first daughter! The one we prayed for and cried tears of joy over when she was born. The girl that captured our hearts with her sweet and sassy personality. The girl that makes us smile every single day.
#3: Our adorable baby girl! The girl that brought so much joy to our lives when she was born. The girl that lights up our world. The girl that will ALWAYS be our sweet baby, even though she won't be THE baby anymore! The girl that has a special message to share...
That's right! We have been keeping a huge secret for a few weeks! Baby #4 is on the way!!! We are so excited to meet our little love!!!

Happy 6th Birthday, Lexie!!!
Our sweet girl turned 6 today!!!
It is very hard to believe that she's 6 already! I say it every birthday, but only because it's true: Time FLIES!
I feel so blessed to call her my daughter. I thank God for putting her into my life every single day. I am so lucky to be her mom!!!
Lexie is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy. She can be the most loving, affectionate child, but she also has this incredibly strong spirit. I love my baby girl with all my heart.
Lexie woke up feeling very tired. I'm not quite sure she even noticed the 6 giant balloons in her room!
It didn't take her long to wake up and realize it was her special day!
It definitely helped that she had a birthday donut for breakfast and got to open a present!
I drove Lexie, Dylan, and their friend, Jack, to school, then ran home to bake a birthday cake! As soon as the cake came out of the oven, I had to run back to Lexie's school to take in her birthday snack!
Her class sang to her, then enjoyed some cookies. I wish I had snapped a few more pictures, because Lexie looked SO happy!
I left Lexie's school and ran to a doctor appointment, so my friend, Amber, picked her up from school. I met them at her house, and we went to Build-A-Bear so Lexie could make her first stuffed animal. It was a really great, thoughtful gift from Amber!
After Build-A-Bear, we stopped at Burger King so the kids could eat and play in the indoor playground. Our last stop was at a local bakery before heading home!
Once home, Lexie had a snack and watched a show.
She got to open another birthday present!
It wasn't long before this happened...
After a long nap, we left for Lexie's birthday dinner. Lexie chose McDonald's, so we met Grant there after he was done with work. The kids enjoyed their happy meals and milkshakes!
We headed back home so Lexie could open the rest of her presents.
We headed over to a friend's house so they could enjoy some birthday cake with us!
The kids played for a bit before we headed back home.
That evening, Lexie decided she was going to have a sleepover in our room. It doesn't happen often, so we allowed her!
My sweet baby girl had an awesome birthday! We are so proud of her and love her more than words can say. She may be 6 now, but she will always be our baby girl!!!
