Snow? What snow?
Ahhhhh, no worries!
Oh, THAT snow!
Wait...we're getting snowed in?!?
This is so not going to work.
We just may go crazy!
Yes, we're in the midst of a snowstorm! The roads are terrible and it's coming down FAST! I took those pictures over an hour ago, and since then, we got two more inches. It's supposed to snow all night and all day tomorrow. So, we just may end up snowed in.
I decided to run to the grocery store this afternoon and by the time I left the store, the roads were treacherous. I slid all over the place, and ended up sliding off the road and into a yard...I stopped a foot away from hitting a telephone pole. Then, I almost got hit by a fishtailing truck. The drive home was awful, and I was so worried about my precious cargo in the backseat. The weather was fine when I left for the store, and the snow hit earlier than expected. I have never been so relieved to pull into my driveway.
Grant had to go to a viewing tonight for a friend's brother. I felt horrible missing it, but I wasn't taking my kids out again. He made it home safely, but said there were no roads anymore.
It's going to be interesting to see just how much snow we get. Different news reports are calling for different amounts, but it looks like we're going to end up with 6-10 inches!
Before I forget again, the awesome Kmama, from The Daily Dribbles, gave me this blog award last month. Thank you! I love your blog, too! Really. You should go check her out if you haven't already!
I'm supposed to pass this award on to 7 blogs that I love. I'm just going to randomly pick a few of my favorites, because I'm bad at narrowing it down!
1. It's All About Alex
2. The Neff Family
3. 3 kids, a minivan and a lot of love
4. Sevin Family
5. Mama4Real
6. The Courageous O'Connor's
7. Once Upon A Miracle
Okay, back to getting snowed in...
Such sweet pics, even the one with Lexie crying =) I feel like her though with this snow, I don't think our snowfall is as bad as yours, but its bad enough. I want spring!
ReplyDeleteThank You For The Award You Are So Sweet. We got some snow yesterday and today as well. Roads arent that bad as the snow is pretty much done and the plows are pros here in Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteAlex has those same jammies as Lexie!! She just recently stopped wearing fleece jammies with feet because she gets to sweaty!
Booo snow!! Hopefully it melts just as fast as it's coming. Glad you guys are okay after your drive. It had to have been scary. Being a New Englander, I should be used to all the snow, but I avoid driving in it at all costs. I'm so scared of getting in an accident and how other people are driving.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the award!!
We did the snowed-in thing last week. And we're supposed to get another system on Monday. We live in Oklahoma, people!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award sweet lady!!!! :):)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that snow storm ya'll are havin' up there! It's NUTS! I kinda wish we would get it too, but not for all the bad stuff to happen, but for schools to shut down, work to close, so we can hang out at home w/ a fire and then play in the snow and...
yeah yeah... it's been awhile since i've had a good snow storm, so I have this totally glorified picture of what it would really look like:)
Thanks for the award. We got snow yesterday too. We love it!!
ReplyDeletethanks for the award. I am so laughing at your snow post. yeah I was skeptical yesterday too and now...O.M.G.! Holy crap. and yeah I DIDN'T go to the store to buy basics but we will survive.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see your snow pics. I took some too.
You're welcome.
ReplyDeleteMan, we haven't even gotten one decent snow fall this year, which is unheard of for Michigan! Is it wrong to say that I'm a teensy bit jealous??
That's crazy!! SO glad that you made it home safely! I can't stand driving in the snow. I'm terrified of exactly that.
ReplyDeleteIt's no fun being snowed in, but glad you got food!
I have an award for you on my blog! :)
