Tuesday Tidbits is my way to record all the cute and funny things my kids say and do...before I forget them!
Dylan asked some difficult questions last week. "Mommy, how big is God? How old is God? When is his birthday?"
Lexie always tells me that Princess Aurora is going to go to the bald.
Dylan asked me how the doctor was going to take off his mole. I told him that it would probably be removed with a little knife, but that he wouldn't feel it at the time. He let out a very loud gasp, and said, "But that's going to hurt!!!" I told him that he didn't have to worry about it just yet, because it won't happen for another year or two, and that the doctor would make sure that it wouldn't hurt. He then let out a sigh of relief.
Lexie is constantly walking around, holding a toy cell phone to her ear. It is so cute to hear her pretend conversations, but I have to admit, I am a bit worried about her future cell phone use!
Dylan got a stuffy nose the other day, and it's the first time he's been "sick" (I wouldn't even call him sick-he just had a stuffy nose for 2 days!) in over 6 months. He told Lexie that he had a little cold, and Lexie asked him what a cold was. He replied, "When you have a cold it means you have lots of boogers in your nose!" There is that.
We were in the car, and Lexie told Grant, "Daddy, Barbie is scared of your driving!"
Dylan gave Lexie the Disney Princess tattoos that came in some of his Valentines from school. Grant put them on her hands. Several days later, she ran into the living room, crying. "My tattoos melted!"
Dylan likes to pull his covers over his head, but ends up tangled in his sheets every night.
And two little tidbits from today:
Grant had flowers delivered for me today. He sent a cute, mini rose bush! I can't wait to plant it outside.
After many months of trying to convince Lexie to try new foods, she caved in today. She actually took a bite of the tiny dollop of scalloped potatoes on her plate, after our usual prompting. Then, she took two more bites! This was BIG! So big, that we gave her an early birthday present. She enjoyed playing with her Littlest Pet Shop Portable Pet dog and cat set as she finished her dinner. I know this is just a tiny victory in conquering our extremely picky eater's battles, but it's definitely a victory!
Awwww his sweet pink cheeks are so cute!! Aidyn likes to sleep with his blankie on his head too-- it must be comforting.
