There's a monthly linkup called The Kids Behind the Blog that I love. It's basically a short interview with your child(ren) each month. I always forget about it, but not this month!
So what's the (and then some) part? Well, trust me on this. Where there's four, there's always more! My family almost always has an extra kid (or two or three) along on our adventures. What can I say? The more the merrier!
We may look like a traveling circus at times, but that's okay. I embrace the chaos (most of the time)! I often rush from place to place with toddlers falling out of my arms and a parade of kids behind me, but I truly wouldn't have it any other way. My kids are making lasting memories with family members and friends whom they love dearly!
Moving on...
As of May 2016, Dylan is 11, Lexie is 9, Lily is 4, and Liam is 2. They are growing up WAY too fast!
Liam doesn't speak in sentences yet, but he does have a handful of words and signs. One of my biggest fears was that he would be nonverbal, but he isn't. He works so hard with his Speech Therapist and our family, and we are so proud of him! Plus, we're learning an important communication skill as he learns his words: sign language!
Here are the questions for May:
What is something I always say to you?
Dylan-I love you.
Alexandria-I love you.
Liliana-I love you.
Liam-Flashes his huge smile and says kkkkkkkkhhhhh. (I guess that means I love you! I do say it a lot!)
What makes mommy happy?
Dylan-When I'm good. (True story.)
Alexandria-When she gets left alone. (Ehhh, some days.)
Liliana-When I come over to you when you feel left alone. (For sure.)
Liam-Hap Bu-day. (Yep. I like my birthday.)
How do I make you laugh?
Dylan-When you tell me a joke. (Yeah. I'm not that funny.)
Alexandria-When you make funny faces and weird sounds. (Weird sounds? WHAT?!?)
Liliana-When you say "Lily. You're silly." (Apparently I say that a lot, judging by my Mother's Day card!)
Liam-"MoMoMo!" (Said while signing more. In the spirit of keeping it real, he really just wanted more fruit snacks!)
What do you enjoy doing with me?
Dylan-Just going shopping alone with you. Or anywhere. (Me too! It doesn't happen often. But what about basketball, dude? Oh, right. I can still kick your butt!)
Alexandria-I enjoy going to Dairy Queen with you and getting Italian Ice sometimes. (Mmmmm...ice cream. I'm always up for a sweet treat!)
Liliana-I like to snuggle with my sweet, beautiful mommy. (Okay, kid, what do you want or what did you do?!?)
Liam-No answer. He just panted like a dog. I guess it's fitting because we've been working on animal sounds for a few weeks!
Dylan-Go shopping. (He isn't completely wrong.)
Alexandria-Do your stuff on your blog. (Neither is she.)
Liliana-Snuggle with ME! (That's true, too!)
Liam-*Points his finger at me.* Bad! Yes! (Okay then....)
(Okay, I admit, this post had a lot of Liam pictures. But he was just SO cute and smiley and STILL!)
And...that's a wrap! Stay tuned for next month's entertainment (if I remember)!
LET'S CONNECT!
I'm linking up HERE for The Kids Behind The Blog.
Yay! I'm so glad you linked up!! The kids answers are great! It's funny how they really are paying attention to what we do and say. I love that you kick Dylan's butt at basketball. Go momma!

ReplyDelete(Story behind the pencils - I didn't have a sharpener at home for the longest so I just took her pencils with me to work to sharpen them for her!!)
Sharpen pencils! That is funny!
