Yet another crazy weekend has come and gone!
On Saturday morning, the kids and I took my nephew, Brady, to his last soccer game. I offered to take him, so he didn't have to miss the game for his brother's Pre-K graduation. I wish I had some pictures to share of the little soccer star, but it was pouring. It started when we pulled in to the parking lot, and never ended. By the end of the game, we were all drenched, and the kids were miserable and clinging to me. I didn't realize that soccer doesn't cancel games due to rain! (Shhh...that's why I prefer baseball.) I did enjoy watching Brady score goals, though!
We had a good laugh when one of the coaches opened the back of the van, right before we pulled out, thinking it was his car! He got quite a surprise: Brady's rear end, as he was changing in the cargo area! I don't know who was more shocked-Brady or the coach!
After the game, we headed to my sister's house for a Pre-K graduation party. Dylan and two of my nephews, Brandon and Jackson, all graduated from Pre-K this year! (That's right, my poor parents had three pregnant daughters (and a pregnant daughter-in-law) at the same time!) We all had a great time honoring the three graduates!
It was a crazy (but fun) day!
After the busy week that we had, we spent the day at home. It was a nice family day, complete with spending time outdoors, taking a family nap, enjoying a delicious dinner, playing Wii bowling, and watching a movie.
Since it rained so much yesterday, the kids enjoyed jumping in some puddles today!
I am officially in the summer vacation mode!
You are such a fun mom letting them jump in puddles! I cringed looking at those pictures. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love the pic of the kids piled on the couch. It looks like Lexie has a chocolate milk (ice cream?) mustache.
when patrick was in soccer last summer I was shocked they played in the rain since I never had a soccer player before..I had to call all my friends and check with them who had older kids if their sons played in the rain too for soccer? well apparently soccer doesn't cancel for rain! LOL. and thats INSANE! Why would i want to stand there in the rain with a toddler and/or baby and other kids getting rained on? CRAZY.
ReplyDeleteI have also noticed that baseball does cancel for rain more often...Except the team johnpaul was on last year. They never cancelled but in previous years they always did. It probably depends on the coach.
anyway...wow all those kids the same age? wow! Are they all going to be in the school next year for k? or different schools?
Oh my, those jumping in the puddles images made me smile so much. Simply adorable. Yeah for summer vacation, indeed!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a fun Mommy! Looks like a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cool that the cousins are all the same age. Fun for them. :)
ReplyDeleteT would have fun jumping in puddles until the moment her clothes got wet, then it would be game over for her!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! =)
ReplyDeleteLove those puddle jumpers. You seem like an incredibly relaxed fun mom :-)
