I can't even recall anything funny that my kids have said this week, but I'm sure there were many things. I spent the past week hunched over, trying not to cough out a lung or vomit on myself mid-cough, thanks to a nasty case of bronchitis. I wasn't very attuned to what my kids were saying.
On top of that, I have no pictures of the little things to share. You know, since I just remembered it was Tuesday...
Okay, so I lied. I do have a few things that quickly came to mind.
My recently potty trained girl says the same thing every time she climbs on the potty. In a very stern voice, she tells me, "Pee on the potty. NOT on the floor." What can I say? That first week was a difficult one. That was my mantra!
Dylan and Lexie are very close to my parents. Every time my dad leaves, Dylan says, "But I miss you so much, Papa," before he even walks away. It's incredibly pitiful. Lexie took notice, but doesn't quite get it. She happily squeals, while watching my dad's car pull out of our driveway, "I miiiissss you, Papa! I miiiissss you, Nina! I miiiiisssss you."
And now for some photographic evidence of the little details that I want to remember. I'm dipping into my stash of old(er) photos for this post!
Lexie loves shoes. She loves wearing other people's shoes and shuffling around the house.
Her two favorite pairs of "play" shoes are her crocs. She has a pink pair and a purple pair. She loves them so much, that she has actually fallen asleep with them (more on that coming tomorrow). She can never decide which pair she likes better, so she just picks one of each.
Perfect, darling. That *is* a fashion statement. We're currently working on putting her shoes on the right foot. Apparently she didn't learn much...she has TWO right feet!
I love how she choses one of each shoe. SO much easier than making that tough decision!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, so sweet!! I'm sorry you've been so sick. Are you feeling any better?
ReplyDeleteAnd Zack has also fallen asleep in his crocs more than once! :)
At least one shoe is on the right foot! :)
ReplyDeleteToo cute, I love the pictures. Both of my kids have a shoe fetish too. :)
Ha that is to funny about two right shoes:) Shoes are the best. Glad she is learning early:)
