Weekend Snapshots and Menu Plan

Once again, our weekend was packed!

On Saturday morning, we went to our friend's house for egg dying and an egg hunt. The egg hunt was indoors, because it was pouring out. Despite the rain, the kids had a blast, and we had fun talking to our friends!

Immediately after that, we went to my nephew's 6th birthday party, where the kids played laser tag. Lexie was a bit too young, so she colored with Grant, while I snapped some pictures for my sister.

After the party, we came home, had some dinner, and then our friends came over for the evening.

The kids enjoyed a lazy morning. It was a nice break after our jam-packed Friday and Saturday!

We made some brunch, and then visited Grant's family. Grant and I left for a bit to do some Easter shopping, while his mom and Nannie kept the kids occupied.

Back home, Grant and Dylan played Wii, while Lexie and I cooked dinner.

The day ended quickly for our kids. They were both happy to go to bed!

Menu Plan:

Monday: Smothered Pork Chops, Gravy Noodles, and Baked Beans
Tuesday: Hamburger Helper and Green Beans (Dylan's choice-it's a rushed baseball night)
Wednesday: Soup and Grilled Sandwiches
Thursday: Cheese Tortellini, Salad, and Garlic Bread
Friday: Dinner with family
Saturday: Tacos and Beans
Sunday: Easter Dinner with family

Recipe of the Week: Smothered Pork Chops and Gravy Noodles

1 lb Boneless Pork Chops
2 packets Brown Gravy Mix
1 package of your favorite pasta

1. Mix the packets of Brown Gravy Mix with the specified amount of water. Pour into crockpot. Place pork chops into the crockpot, and cook on high heat for about 4 hours, or until chops are tender.
2. Prepare pasta.
3. Once pork chops are tender, remove the chops from the crockpot.
4. Pour the gravy into the bowl of prepared pasta and mix well.

  3. I am so intrigued about the floor where you had that easter egg hunt. Is that round mosaic tiles, or is carpet? That's so cool.

Sounds like another busy, but fun weekend. We had a lot going on too. I'm exhausted today.

  4. What was on the floor there? Was it a bottle cap design of some sort? Really interesting. Glad you all had fun with friends.
