Last night, we had some friends over to dye Easter eggs with us. I realize we went to an egg hunt/egg dying party on Saturday morning, but there's always room for more hard-boiled eggs!
We set up the table with all the supplies, and let the kids work their magic!
7 dozen eggs later, their work was complete. Lexie was the last kid remaining.
She had the hands to prove it.
During the egg dying, we had a special visitor. Just outside our kitchen window, the "Easter" Bunny came to visit!
The kids were so proud of their eggs, and had fun sharing the experience with their friend!
I need to do this with Carter but he has a very low attention span for doing anything that requires him to sit so I think I'd end up finishing it and cleaning up the mess. Looks like they had fun though so maybe it would be worth it!
ReplyDeleteawww ur kiddos are beautiful * fun pics :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a LOT of eggs!! What is the spinner thing that Lexie was using? Is that cool? We haven't even bought anything for Easter yet. Even though it is so late, I feel like it's snuck up on us.
ReplyDeleteDid the dye come off Lexie's hands? LOL
Awhhh bless em'!! =) They'll have a blast on their hunt!
ReplyDeleteSo fun and LOTS of eggs! can't wait to dye ours! Oh my gosh, my boys would have flipped out to see the "Easter Bunny" at our window while dying eggs! SO CUTE :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! We are going to attempt egg dying this week and hopefully not make too big of a mess in the process. I bet the kids were super excited to see that bunny!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you dyed 7 dozen eggs!!! That's fortitude!
ReplyDeleteSo funny how blue her hand is!
Wow that's a lot of eggs. I love dying eggs :)
ReplyDeleteGood grief that's a lot of eggs! Each of my kids does 6! This year we are doing them the "easy" way by using strainers over a bowl ... place the egg in, pour over a little vinegar, drop in drops of food coloring and swirl around in the strainer then rinse. We'll see!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Easter!
I felt overwhelemd with one dozen eggs and one toddler! Kuddos to you.:) And T had fun with the same exact egg spinner as Lexie!
ReplyDeleteWow, 7 dozen eggs takes some doing! Lexie is a trooper! They look so happy :) I hope your family likes egg salad!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing this this Saturday with family!! Super excited to spend the weekend with family :) Love her blue hands and that the Easter Bunny hopped by for a minute!
ReplyDeleteLOL! That is one blue hand! We haven't done any fun Easter stuff yet except make snacks:) Hopefully we will have time to dye a few eggs this weekend!
