How far along: 24 weeks!
Total Weight Gained: All loss so far. I'll know if I gained any back when I go to my 26 week appointment.
How big is baby? Nugget is about 12 inches long, and weighs just over a pound. I can tell, because he/she is packing a mighty strong punch (kick?)!
How baby is growing: Nugget's brain is growing quickly now, and his/her taste buds are continuing to develop. The lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he/she hits the outside world. Nugget's skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon. babycenter.com
Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing my regular clothes.
Best Pregnancy Moment of the Week: Seeing my belly round out. It finally looks like there's a baby in there! Although Nugget still prefers to curl up really low in my uterus, he/she is starting to spend some time above my belly button (including putting a foot in my rib!).
Movement: Nugget is constantly moving! He/She is strong!
Food Cravings: No cravings yet.
Food Aversions: I'm still not a big fan of any food, but my appetite is bigger.
Morning Sickness: I'm still sick 24/7 and relying on Zofran. I'm thinking it's here to stay until I deliver!
Gender: We didn't find out!
Symptoms: Strong and frequent Braxton Hick's contractions (especially in the evening), nausea morning to night, gagging, vomiting, and mood swings.
Exercise: Getting moderate exercise 4-5 days a week.
What I miss: Feeling normal. I honestly forget what it's like to not feel sick!
What I'm looking forward to: My 26 week appointment, and getting the glucose test (the following week) over with!
