We have been stuck inside all day, and the kids were restless. Luckily, my best friend's son was here for most of the day, so Dylan and Lexie had a playmate.
------------------------------------------------
Dylan has been fighting haircuts since a sign fell on his head almost 2 years ago, which required staples to close the wound. Quick, but not painless...no pain medication was used. OUCH. Needless to say, it's been a struggle ever since. As soon as scissors come near his head, he flinches and runs away. All I've been able to do was trim the front of his hair! So he has been sporting a shaggy 'do for a long time.
Somehow, while Lexie and Tyler were napping, I convinced Dylan to let me cut his hair. It took some coaxing..."Buddy, you're starting to look like a girl." "Look, your hair is longer than Lexie's!" Finally, with the promise of a shower by himself-no sister in the tub with him- after the haircut, I was able to start snipping and shaving.
Here he is, sporting his new faux-hawk!
-------------------------------------------
After Tyler went home, I put a movie on for the kids. Dylan picked "Homeward Bound." My animal lovers have been glued to the TV for 45 minutes now. Big mistake, though. All Lexie keeps saying is, "Kitty fell in the wad-er! That's baaaad!"
-------------------------------------------
This is where we put the kids when THEY are bad.
Okay, so not really. But Lexie loves to hang out in our chihuahua's crate for some reason!

Happy Rainy Day....thank goodness the sun is supposed to shine in a few days!
It's rainy here too. Good job convincing Dylan to get his hair cut. I just trimmed Natey up a tiny bit, but he had no clue. He was having too much fun with his toothbrush to notice. :o)
ReplyDeletei have a few cage shots too from my BIL's dog cage ... its cute. i also tell ppl that i "put" my kids in there..lol some days like today i wish i could! they are driving me nuts... must be the rain here too
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I cannot believe you did that yourself. And ouch about the sign. What the heck?! My aunt had a grocery store ceiling tile fall on her head and give her whiplash. It's a scary world out there... Just out visiting my followers. Thanks for following my blog!
ReplyDeleteHA! LMAO about the cage. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteDylan looks so great! Like such a big boy with that haircut, hey?? WOWZERS!
ReplyDeleteI might have busted a gut laughing at Lexie in the kennel...to cute!

As much as people complain about the snow, there is plenty to do in it. There is hardly anything fun (and clean) to do in the rain. Someone needs to come up with some rain sports.
ReplyDeletethat is so cute! I can't believe she likes to go in there, but toddlers are like that aren't they? I like Dylan's new haircut!
ReplyDeleteAww, I LOVE his haircut...very cute!
