Christmas Eve Eve

It was the last day to get everything done before the chaos sets in. Who am I kidding? I've been living in a state of chaos since September!

Lexie and I helped Dylan wrap the gifts he bought for his family.

Next up was our tradition of making cut out sugar cookies. We make these at every holiday, and the kids love it!

Dylan and Lexie could hardly wait to eat the cookies. As soon as we finished, they each snagged one and ran!

Lexie got incredibly messy!

While Dylan just got silly!

(More of these to follow in a separate post. They are hilarious!)

While Lexie took a nap, I cleaned and organized their rooms, in preparation for all the Christmas presents!

When Grant came home from work, we headed out to Hartwood Acres for the Celebration of Lights. We go every year and it is gorgeous! It is a 3 1/2 mile stretch of holiday light displays through the park. If you are ever in Pittsburgh during the holidays, you would not want to miss this!

Dylan and Lexie love going to see the lights. Since we are in the park, going 5 mph or less, we let the kids sit up front with us, so they can see better. My favorite displays are the beautiful mansion all decorated for Christmas, and the Santa and sleigh at the end!

After we saw the lights, Grant dropped us off at home. He had to pick up another gift for our kids, and then go wrap my gifts at his parent's house. A friend of ours had some extra Zhu Zhu pets, and Grant thought the kids would like them. They probably will, but I sure don't get what all the fuss is about!

While he was gone, Dylan, Lexie, and I snuggled on the couch and watched "Frosty the Snowman." It was off to bed for them when the movie ended! They need all the sleep they can get to prepare for a busy Christmas!

It is now Christmas Eve!!!
