*Lily is now thirteen months old, but her first year of monthly updates wouldn't be complete without this one! This will be the last set of pictures using the monthly stickers. Those just don't last anymore!!! Each month, I used the same things in the monthly pictures. Same onesie, same tutu, same legwarmers, same headband, and same bear! It's amazing to see how much she has grown!*
Dear Liliana,
You are now 12 months old! A year has passed since you were born. A year full of joy, because you're in the world. Every day with you is a blessing!
Gone is the tiny, helpless infant. You are now a walking, talking, mischievous toddler, full of personality!!! While I do miss your infant days, this new you is so much fun!
This month's pictures were a huge challenge! I tried to sit you in the rocking chair that we have used for each monthly set of pictures since you turned 6 months old. No such luck. You stood up and took off! I tried to have you pose with the bear that you got when you were born. You either dragged it along with you or tossed it to the ground. You made a beeline for the playset, and immediately climbed up. You slid down the slide, then returned to the climbing wall to climb back up. Over and over again. When you grew bored, you took off down the hill toward the driveway. By the time we were done, I was exhausted!!! The days of adorable posed pictures are gone for a few years! But that is you. Full of energy, going full speed ahead, only pausing to flash your adorable grin!
A year has passed. I mourned the fact that you grew so fast. But I'm blessed. I get to spend my days with you and watch as you grow and learn. You are an amazing little girl. I am proud to call you my daughter. I am lucky to be your mama.
Your first year in this world was an amazing one. My prayer for you is that you live a long, happy, healthy, safe life with all of your loved ones. You are loved, Lily. Don't ever doubt that. Loved more than words can say.
Happy 12 months, baby girl!
Love, Mama

ReplyDeleteShe is just so adorable. I think your pictures perfectly captured what 12 months is all about...play time!
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe she's a year! Seems like just yesterday! =)
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable! (and growing so fast!)
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!! I have enjoyed watching her grow up this last year!! Looks like you got some really good shots. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable. I miss the leggings stage. Girls get to keep wearing them, but they're not so cool on little boys after the first year ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo. Precious! I agree with Kmama - and isn't the exhaustion worth it! :-)
ReplyDeleteLily is really so adorable. I can't get enough of these pictures. I can feel a sense of nostalgia whenever I realize how my kids are growing up so fast.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of her with her bear!
