Today, we attended a 40th birthday party for my brother-in-law, Rick.
It was supposed to be a surprise party, but he found out at 3:00 this morning, when he wandered down to the basement refrigerator in his house, and found all the food!
The party was held at a local park, and it was chilly outside. Okay, so it was about 65 degrees, but I was freezing! When it goes from 95 to 65 in a matter of days, it's a hard transition to deal with!
Everybody had fun, though! The kids ran around with their cousins, I got to spend time with my siblings and dad, and there was so much food! I just may have eaten two plates full of desserts!
Rick's party, although not a surprise, ended up going well!
We were at the park for 6 hours straight, and the kids were exhausted. On the way home, all three of them fell asleep. All that fresh air and play wore them out!
Lily's outfit is too much! So cute. Love the pic of her and Grandpa. Super cute and creative chalk drawings!
ReplyDeleteI love parties for tiring the kids out - it's fun to see them go all out and then crash, hehe. I love Lily's party outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was in the high sixties, low seventies here too...and I was freezing! I hate temp changes like that.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had fun at the non-surprise party!
I know what you mean, I totally wore a jacket this weekend. No shame! =)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Rick!
Love the portraits with sidewalk chalk. I need to try this with J!
