Dylan's last official baseball game of the season was tonight!
Grant, the girls, my dad, Grant's mom, Grant's grandma, and I were all there to cheer him on!
It's hard to believe that his third year of baseball is over. He learned so much this year. He believed in himself, was proud of his accomplishments, and grew as a player. He played so well, but most importantly, he had fun!
After the game, Dylan's coach (who also coached him in tee-ball), rounded the team up for a final pep talk.
It was bittersweet to watch. Our schedule is crazy busy during baseball season, but we love to watch Dylan play. Our lives will be a bit more relaxed now (briefly), but I'm a bit sad to see the season end. I think Dylan may be playing Fall Ball this year!
For now, it's the end.
I love this very short clip of one of Dylan's hits tonight. The best
part is when he crashes into the first baseman, skips past him, and
then starts to high five him at the end. Now that's good sportsmanship.
Congratulations on a great season, Dylan! You are going to have some fond memories of playing baseball. We are so very proud of you! Go, Mars Black!!!
Looks like he had a great year!
ReplyDeleteHe just has the most stunning eyes! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteHow time flies, I cannot believe it is over already!
ReplyDeleteI just love baseball and watching my boys. Our schedule is insanely busying during ball as well, but I will be sad when it's over.
ReplyDeleteCatching up - I can't see the video on my Kindle. :( I'm glad he had a great season!
