Plaaaaay Ball!!!

Saturday was Opening Day for baseball! It was a big day for Dylan!

We were all up very late on Friday night due to friends visiting, and it was difficult to get moving in the morning. We had to be at the fields by 8:15. It was still chilly when we arrived, but sunny, and it warmed up quickly! Much better than last year's cold and rainy opening day!

Opening Day started off with a parade of all the teams, followed by an opening ceremony at the main field. All the players were excited and energetic!

Dylan's team pictures were immediately after the ceremony, and his game was the first of Opening Day. There was a lot of rushing around before we could finally sit and watch the game!

I honestly wasn't prepared for just how long a coach-pitch 5 inning game would take. We were used to the 1 hour T-Ball games, so the additional hour was definitely unexpected! The morning went by quickly, though. We got home shortly after noon. It was definitely a successful Opening Day!

Once home, we ate lunch that we had picked up at Subway, and then the kids got to see a bunch of baby bunnies that had just left a nest in our front yard.

We were so tired that afternoon that we decided to take a family nap. We all ended up sleeping for 2 1/2 hours! That night, since we were well rested and I was starting to feel better, we went to my best friend's house for a visit.

We were busy the rest of the weekend, too! On Friday night, a bunch of friends came over. I got my baby fix, and got to hold an adorable 3 week old baby girl!

Today, I took Dylan to a classmate's party at BouceU, while Lexie visited my sister.

After a quick trip to Old Navy so I could replace my favorite jeans, we finally came home for the weekend!

Baseball season is officially in full swing! Dylan has 3 games this week, so we'll be busy!!!
