I'm not quite sure we can handle any more rain! It began pouring at 7 AM, then the sun came out briefly, which was followed by thunderstorms and downpours. Certain spots in my backyard are flooded, and it is just yucky out.
The past four days have been filled with movies, playdoh, moon sand, moon dough, color wonders coloring books, painting, drawing, and bracelet making. Cabin fever is setting in!
It's a good day to play catch-up!
*I had my glucose tolerance test last Wednesday. Most pregnant women dread this test, but when you are still struggling with morning sickness, you dread it even more! Yep...it was just as bad as I remembered, but I made it through!
*I'm going to a lot of OB appointments these days. My next one is on Monday morning. They're time-consuming, but I'm glad they're keeping a close eye on my progress! I've had a bad week with the contractions. They got a lot stronger on Sunday, and have stayed that way, even when I'm off my feet.
*Blogger briefly kicked the bucket last week. I'm glad I didn't lose any posts, but a lot of the comments from that week have disappeared!
*Lexie has been into painting her nails over the past week. Today, I found her like this:
*Dylan's new obsession is pirates and the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. It all started on Friday, when my mom bought him a Pirates of the Caribbean Lego set!
*I've been waiting for the novelty of having a new pet to wear off, but it hasn't. Lexie absolutely adores her hamster, and holds him constantly. He really is a sweet little guy!
*I have to admit, I love him, too. Cuteness overload!
*Yesterday was the 12th anniversary of Grant and I getting engaged! It's hard to believe that we have been together for that long!
*Dylan and I have been really accident prone lately.
Last Wednesday, right before my glucose test, I smashed a tray table into my face. It resulted in bruises under my eyes. Luckily, concealer helped!
Dylan ended up splitting his lip while playing with his cousins on Saturday night, and then got a big bruise on his cheek from another cousin on Monday. It does not look good!
Here's to some (hopefully!) sunnier weather over the weekend!
Very cute pics, all of 'em! I love the little hamster face!
ReplyDeleteStay off your feet!! Relax!
The rain is killing me. There is only so much block building I can take in a day! I found you through Jennie (a baby and two schnoodles) and just wanted to say hi. Lexie and Dylan are absolutely adorable. Your daughter and my daughter (okay, she's not my daughter, she's my 9 yr old dog) share the Bean/Beanie nickname :) Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
ReplyDeletelove the pictures of her painting her toes.. those are super cute :) Can't believe it is still raining there!
ReplyDeleteLove those pics of Lex painting her nails...too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting too much rain and we haven't had any at all! Our poor plants are thirsty and my grass is starting to turn brown. Lexie looks too cute painting her nails, and oh my is that hampster eating a froot loop?!? Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI feel you on the rain. I watch 3 kids plus my own two so all this rain is killing us too! We've been crafting it up quite a bit. I hope you and little nugget are doing okay. The pics of your kids made me smile.
ReplyDeleteWe've also been considering the arc option. It's been raining since Friday with more rain in the future!
ReplyDeleteThat's enough injury over there now, you hear me?
ReplyDeleteThe hamster nibbling is too darn cute!
Sorry you had to suffer through that glucose test. It sounds pretty yucky!
Man, you've been busy! Lots going on.. I hope the pregnancy goes well and you start to feel better. Love the Hamster pics.. I am still laughing. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am super jealous Lexie is so flexible-- I always have the hardest time painting my own toes, so I normally just go get a pedi :)
ReplyDeleteHope you stay off those feet!!!
i laughed at your ark comment...lol. we do need one!
ReplyDeleteanyway, yeah pirates of the c. are one of my boys favorites for awhile now. i am worried about the new one's pg-13 rating though...not sure about that...hmmm. hope its good though for them. patrick wants those legos too.
OUCHIES!! I absolutely LOVE the pics of Lexie painting her toes!! SOOOO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, we are going nuts! The long snowy winter followed by a cold rainy spring is just too much!!! It has to get sunny soon... right?! That is a great shot of Lexie - she looks like she knows what she is doing :) Glad to hear that your glucose test is behind you!
ReplyDeleteyou guys are falling apart!!! Be careful. Is your hamster extra-large? Although, I have not been around a lot of hamsters lately.
ReplyDeleteIt has been nice and sunny here. Sorry to say :D
awww so cute! such a girly! but awchie on Dylan's bruise and wound! hope that will heal soon. Do take care both of you! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of Lexie painting her toes! How cute!
ReplyDeleteMy boys are into pirates now too. Disney has a pirate cartoon on in the mornings and the boys love it.
Oh the glucose test...I never had an issue with it until my last pregnancy. I really thought I'd get sick after that one. Gag.
Still praying those contractions ease up!
You are a gutsy woman giving her the nail polish bottle!
ReplyDeleteI hope those contractions get with the program and quit!
Be careful...praying for a healthy baby that keeps on cooking:) Love the pic of Lexie and painting her toes!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had rain in forever :(
ReplyDeleteLove the painting toes picture!
Love the pictures! We've had so much rain here too. My husband is working a double shift today and I'm stuck inside with the kids all day due to the rain!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Lexie painting her nails crack me up.
ReplyDeleteHoping your nugget will STAY PUT!!
The pedicure is too cute! And I can so relate on the accident-prone thing, ha! But a wee bit more dangerous when pregnant, no?
