Little Gymnast

Lexie's year of gymnastics ended yesterday with a gymnastics show!

My mom and Dylan came along to watch her show off the skills she learned.  Although I felt guilty about it, I decided to leave Lily at home with my dad, so I could focus on Lexie!





They started with a warm up, then rotated between trampoline, floor, beam, and bars.  My pregnancy/mama hormones got the best of me, and I found myself choking back tears as I watched her. 







At the end of the show, the coaches presented each gymnast with a medal!


 

She was so proud of that medal!




After the show, we showered my sweet girl with love and praise!




Lexie learned so much this year, but she has chosen to give up gymnastics and focus on dance in the Fall.  Before leaving, she said goodbye to her coach, Mr. Bob.

 

I am so proud of my sweet, special, beautiful girl!

Water Battle

 The kids kicked off their summer vacation on Saturday with an "epic" water battle with their friends.  And, well, nothing screams summer like hoses, swimsuits, and friends!

Summer is in full swing here in PA!  We have already had some HOT days!  I admit, I love this weather.  I also love the clothes!

I love babies and toddlers in sunsuits and bubbles.  There's just something so adorable about those chunky legs showing!  This is the last year Lily will be able to get away with them, so I'm taking full advantage!

Lexie has been frustrating me while picking out her clothes.  She is already so picky that it drives me crazy!   Dresses are honestly just easier!!!   She chose this one for her last day of school.  It was a gift from my mom for her birthday and I LOVE it! The back is my favorite part. The shoulders are ribbon that knot in the back and tie in a big bow!

Dylan definitely prefers athletic clothing now, but he still wears preppy stuff.  I'm secretly happy about that!  He wore this for the last day of school:

The Last Day

We are officially on summer vacation!

Dylan and Lexie had their last day of school on Friday.  It's hard to believe that the school year already came to an end.  Their year in Kindergarten and 2nd Grade flew by!

The night before their last day,  they were super excited!




They were just as excited when they woke up that morning!



Before we knew it, it was time for them to go to their last day of Kindergarten and 2nd Grade!



 







After that quick photo session, the bus rounded the corner, and off to school they went!

A few hours later, I picked up my Kindergarten graduate!





What better way to celebrate the last day of school than a playdate with friends at McDonald's?




After our playdate, Dylan arrived home from school.




And just like that, I had a 1st Grader and a 3rd Grader!

Dylan and Lexie immediately commented about how they would really miss their teachers and friends, but I think they're very excited for summer!  I admit, I am, too!

We didn't really have a chance to relax at all!  Within an hour of getting home, Dylan had a baseball practice and game!  My great-niece came along to play with Lexie and my sister and 2 of my nephews came to watch the game.





We made sure to kick off summer after the game!  We all headed to Dairy Queen for a delicious treat.  With that, summer was in full swing!

It's amazing how much they have grown in 9 short months!


 



In 3 even shorter months, I'll be sending them off to school again.  This time, Lexie will be gone all day, too.  Watching them grow is bittersweet.  I'm going to treasure this summer with them!

26 Weeks with Baby #4

How far along: 26 Weeks

Due Date:  September 6, 2013

Total Weight Gained:  None.

How big is baby?  Our sweet pea weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel.
 
How baby is growing:  Baby #4 is able to hear voices as you chat with each other. He/She is inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of the lungs.  {from babycenter.com}

Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing my regular clothes, and my regular pants are still loose.

Stretch Marks:  None!  I've never had one before, so I'm hoping that trend continues!

Sleep: Sleep...sucks.  I can't seem to get comfortable, and I'm having Braxton Hick's contractions all night.  I always wake up around 4-6 AM with an urgent need to pee, and I always wake up sore. 

Best Pregnancy Moment of the Week: Feeling those crazy movements.  It now feels like there's a hefty human being inside of me!

Movement:  The baby is very strong and active!  He/She always seems to wake up around 6 AM.  I refer to him/her as a spaz, because the movements are usually so frantic. 

Food Cravings:  None.
 
Food Aversions: All but a few things.

Morning Sickness: I still have hyperemesis, and I'm taking daily medication for it.  Apparently, I even get it in my sleep.  Grant couldn't sleep last night, which is extremely rare, and kept waking me up because I was gagging in my sleep.  Every time he woke me up, I felt so queasy. 


Gender: It's our 4th surprise!!!  We have never found out the gender of our babies.  I keep calling the baby a "she" but I think that's because my last 2 babies were girls and I'm used to saying that! 

Names: The girl name is chosen, but we still have a huge list of boy names and nothing sounds perfect!

Symptoms:  Hyperemesis  (morning (ALL DAY) sickness), Braxton Hicks contractions (irritable uterus), abdominal pain, anemia, exhaustion,  peeing more frequently, and irritability. 

Exercise:  Treadmill workouts Tuesday-Friday this week.

What I miss: Feeling normal.  I have been sick since January 3rd!

What I'm looking forward to: Meeting our sweet baby!  It's going by so quickly, and he/she will be here before we know it!
