March 21st was a special day filled with celebrating LIFE!
Grant and I celebrated our dating anniversary. We have been together for fifteen years. That is crazy!!! We celebrated by going to breakfast with Lily and Liam. Our dates sure changed over the years!
My entire family celebrated the fact that my nephew, Kelvin, is still with us. On March 21st, 2002, he nearly died in a car accident. Well, technically, he did die, but miraculously landed in the backyard of a life flight attendant, who brought him back. Those first few days in the hospital were a nightmare, and we all begged God to let him live. My nephew is a fighter!
Finally, we celebrated an amazing little boy. We proudly wore our blue and yellow clothing and mismatched socks in honor of the baby who stole our hearts and gave us a reason to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day!
We were so overwhelmed by the love and support from family, friends, and even friends we have never met in person. Thank you all for loving our baby boy and showing your support to all those blessed with an extra chromosome!
March 21st, 2014 was a day full of JOY!
What a special day indeed! To think fifteen years ago, you and Grant just met, and now you have this wonderful and amazing family! Happy World Down Syndrome Day to Liam. He is just the cutest baby ever--I love that smile! And "Happy Life Day" to Kelvin who almost lost his life in 2002. What a day of blessings!
