It's time for another edition of The Kids Behind the Blog! Life sure has changed drastically since last month's interview. The kids behind the blog are back in school...ALL of them! Dylan is in 6th grade, Lexie is in 4th grade, Lily is in (half day) Kindergarten and Liam started preschool (T-W-Th afternoons). Life is overly busy and the weeks are flying by!
While we were on vacation a few weeks ago I attempted to capture a few beach portraits. A sick mama who waited until the last day plus dinner running late contributed to the lack of sunlight during our photo session. Even though they didn't turn out as good as I had planned I still managed to capture their personalities. And now I know that I need to take them on day two next year just so there's time for re-dos!
{DYLAN}
1. What is your favorite sport? Why?
"Basketball because it's fun." (Straight to the point. I like it.)
2. If someone gave you a million dollars what would you buy?
"I would buy a Corvette." (He's already a Chevy snob. It's genetic.)
3. Tell me 3 things that kids do better than mommies and daddies.
"Have fun, have a good sense of humor and aren't lame. Except for Daddy. He's the cool one. I'm just joking, I'm JUST joking. You actually wrote it down?!? Daddy IS fun, though." (I'll remember this the next time it's his turn to go shopping alone with me!)
4. What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?
Dylan: "Go to Haunted Houses." Me: "You've never been to one." Dylan: "Well, I WANT to go." (Go with your cool dad. I don't do haunted houses.)
5. Share with me 3 things you like about yourself.
"I like that I have fun, I like that I have a good sense of humor and I like that I know how to play the trumpet." (It's all true.)
{ALEXANDRIA}
1. What is your favorite sport? Why?
Lexie: "Hip Hop." Me: "Hip Hop isn't a sport." Lexie: "Okay. Soccer because I am very good at it and I think it's fun!" (Please don't play soccer, please don't play soccer. The games are too early!)
2. If someone gave you a million dollars what would you buy?
"A mansion." (Sounds good to me!)
3. Tell me 3 things that kids do better than mommies and daddies.
"Hiding secrets, taking care of animals which is my specialty and creating stuff." (Hiding secrets? Her specialty? Who is this kid?)
4. What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?
"Make a leaf pile and jump in it!" (Correction: Have MOMMY make a leaf pile then jump in it and repeat steps 1 and 2 approximately 25 times.)
5. Share with me 3 things you like about yourself.
"I'm good at taking care of animals, I'm creative and I'm nice." (She really is!)
{LILIANA}
1. What is your favorite sport? Why?
"The Penguins because I like them." (That would be the Pittsburgh Penguins. And I don't think she has ever watched a hockey game!)
2. If someone gave you a million dollars what would you buy?
"This really big bunk bed with THREE beds!" (Because two beds stacked on top of each other aren't enough. OBVIOUSLY.)
3. Tell me 3 things that kids do better than mommies and daddies.
"I can run faster than you, I can walk slower than you guys and I can hide secrets from you guys more!" (What is with this secret hiding?!?)
4. What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?
"Going out and making a Fall snowman. A Fallman!" (Hmmmmmm.....)
5. Share with me 3 things you like about yourself.
"I like that I'm nice and I like that I take care of animals and I like that I'm cute and funny!" (I do, too! Cute and funny without a doubt!)
{LIAM}
1. What is your favorite sport? Why?
"BYE!" (This isn't going to go well.)
2. If someone gave you a million dollars what would you buy?
"Peeease." Signs and says please. (Please is right!)
3. Tell me 3 things that kids do better than mommies and daddies.
Liam: "Eat." Me: "And?" Liam: "More." Me: "What else?" Liam: "Nigh-Nigh!" (This is 100% accurate though unintentional. He certainly eats better than me, eats more than me and sleeps more than me. Liam wins.)
4. What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?
"Out." (This is also true. This escape artist likes to try to get out at all times!)
5. Share with me 3 things you like about yourself.
"MUM! Bye!" (I knew it wasn't going to go well!)
Point taken. Interview OVER.
Stay tuned for next month's interview!
