Everyday Life Week Two

I really should title this post Sick Week!  After many years of only having well visits, my kids are making up for it with multiple illnesses this week!!!

WEEK 2

January 8th

Dylan and Lexie had a 2 hour delay, but I had to get up at the same time because Liam had OT. Liam worked so hard that he ended up falling asleep during his session!  Dylan and Lexie went to school, and I spent the day at home.  I ended up searching through the garbage, and found the diamond that fell out of my engagement ring!  I was SO relieved!  That afternoon, Jocie stopped by to visit.  We had our typical afternoon/evening at home.  On this day, 21 years ago, I received my horse as a belated Christmas gift/early birthday gift, and I still have him!  Also?  My good friend, Amy, gave birth to her beautiful miracle baby, Amelia!!! We waited excitedly all morning to hear the news!





January 9th
I had kind of a blah day.  I blame the winter blues!  We stayed home all day.









January 10th

Liam had a bad night due to teething pain.  He cried all morning as well, so I didn't get anything done.  We left the house for our afternoon plans, but the school nurse called and said she suspected Dylan had pink eye.  I had to turn around and pick him up from school, call the pediatrician, and get an antibiotic eye drop.  That evening we had dinner with my parents.  We returned home and I ended up going to bed earlier than usual with Liam.  He was actually sleeping well, and we both ended up getting a long, much needed stretch of sleep!






January 11th

We spent most of the day at home.  That evening, we went over to Jocie's house to hang out.  We ended up staying until 2 AM, playing a game on the ipad!






January 12th

Liam woke up screaming and had a high fever.  We observed him for a while, and realized he was breathing heavily and rapidly.  I took him to Urgent Care, where they did a flu swab and 2 chest xrays.  He was diagnosed with pneumonia, and sent home with an antibiotic.  Grant's mom came over to visit that afternoon and ended up staying for dinner.






January 13th

My awesome friend, Amber, came over to stay with Lily while I took Liam to a follow up appointment with his pediatrician. The doctor said Liam was improving, so we were very relieved that he wouldn't have a hospital stay!  The rest of the day was spent at home.  That evening, Dylan ended up spiking a fever. 






January 14th

Dylan woke up with another high fever, so we decided to keep him home from school.  I went back to bed for a bit, and for the first time ever, I set the alarm wrong and we slept in.  By the time we woke up, school had already started.  I didn't want to drag two sick kids into Lexie's school to drop her off, so after much debate, I decided to keep her home.  We obviously spent the entire day at home!
