Month Nine

Dear Liliana,

  Another month with you has come and gone!  Every day is a blessing, but the 3rd of the month is very bittersweet.  You are growing up too fast!  It's hard to believe, but this is the last single digit month!

  This was a really big month for you!  At 8 months old, you got two more teeth, learned how to crawl the proper way, started pulling up and cruising, said a few words, and even stood on your own!  So many changes in one month.  You are acting less like a baby, and more like a toddler!  I'm not going to lie.  I really miss my tiny, helpless newborn!  Those days are a distant memory.

  You are an amazing addition to our family.  You fit in so perfectly, and complete us.  You are so sweet, and can charm anyone with your dimpled grin!   I am so blessed to have you for a daughter. When I look at you, my heart swells.  I love you forever, Lilybug!

MILESTONES:  Crawling (the right way!), pulling up, cruising, and standing alone.





TOOTH COUNT: Four!  You got one top tooth on the day you turned 8 months, and the second one came through the following day!



COMFORTS:  You still suck your thumb, but not as often.





FIRSTS:  You celebrated your first Easter!






EATING: You will eat anything!  This is good, when it comes to real food, but bad when it comes to you eating whatever you find on the floor!  You still breastfeed several times a day, and refuse a bottle.  I completely gave up on pumping or offering a bottle months ago.  You drink water out of a sippy cup.  By the end of the 8th month, I started offering 3 meals a day.  You love to eat, and will eat anything I puree for you, but you can't get enough vegetables! You also get finger foods in addition to your meals. 




SLEEPING:  You usually go to bed around 7:30 and sleep until 7-8 the following morning.  You also nap twice a day.



SOUNDS/WORDS: Dada, Baba, Hi.  You love to sing "AHHHHHHHHHH" over and over again! Another favorite is patting the back of your hand over your mouth as you sing, making the "Wa wa wa wa" sound!




LIKES:  You love to grind your top teeth against the bottom ones.  You love baths-you crawl over to the tub, pull up, and stare into it with anticipation! You love to look through books and play with your toys.  Your learning table is a favorite, along with Lexie's toy laptop!



DISLIKES:  You hate having your hands held and your face wiped!




NICKNAMES:  Lily, Lilybug, Bugs, Bugaboo, The Little One (Dylan), Lily Belle, and Babycakes.

 

STATS:  Just under 21 lbs, and 31 inches long.



PERSONALITY: Just as sweet as ever!  You still love people, and smile constantly!  You started to show signs of separation anxiety this month. There are times when you definitely prefer to be in my arms, but if I'm out of sight, any person will do!  You are so loveable!
