I couldn't convince my kids to play outside today. I got the most unusual response when I asked if they wanted to go out!
It sure is pretty outside. It looks peaceful.
But appearances can be deceiving. It's brutal out there!
Dylan's school had a 2 hour delay this morning. For half-day Kindergartners, the less than 2 hour school day seems pointless! We froze while waiting for the bus. The snow was swirling, and the wind was blowing in gusts! So I guess I can understand their strong response when I asked them if they wanted to play outside!
They were perfectly content to play Wii...
...and to watch a movie, snuggled up on the bed.
I was secretly relieved that I didn't have to go outside again! I'm fighting off a cold, and there is nothing in this house that I can take. I relied on good 'ole hot tea!
Although I had planned on shopping tonight, I'm going to skip it! I prefer to stay indoors tonight!!!
I'm sure my response would have been the same as your daughter's..ha.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold for us here in FL today (was 40something this morning) & all I've wanted to do is stay inside!
Once again... soooooo jealous!
ReplyDeleteYa stay inside...it's dreadful out there. I did brave Old Navy after work though. HA!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to stay in. Why can't you take anything? Hope the tea does the trick!
ReplyDeletewish I could look out of our windows and see that...COLD, but BEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is sooo cold here too. I hated just running from my car into buildings and stuff.
ReplyDeleteOh, she looks SO pitiful in that second picture!
ReplyDeleteAt least you have pretty snow to enjoy with those cold temps. We have this unbearable gusty winds!
ReplyDeleteLove Lexie's shirt!
I'm with them. I hate the cold! Can they talk with my kids? They just don't get how great a warm house is yet.
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrrrrrr! Yeah, I'd take the hot tea, INSIDE! I'm coughing and I could actually use some tea right now!
ReplyDeleteAin't no way I'd be going out in that weather either unless I absolutely had to. We hit a record temp here at 13 degrees this morning. I drove VC to school - that lucky guy :D
ReplyDeleteThat is cold for sure! Our lows have been in the 20's overnight and it it freezing! That first picture is priceless:)
ReplyDeleteBundle up and build a fire! Hope you don't get cabin fever.
