I was a total slacker this year. I had planned to get my cards done at the beginning of December, and mailed out on time. I wasn't counting on a nasty cold knock me down.
Yesterday, I panicked. I realized there was just 10 days left before Christmas. I still had to take pictures, make the card, order it, and mail it out! So I sucked it up, and pulled out my camera for a super quick photo shoot.
I swear, there are days when taking pictures of my kids is like wrangling monkeys.
I did manage to capture enough cute pictures for our Christmas card, but I got plenty of outtakes.
First, we had the giggle fest. A certain princess could not stop moving around and giggling, which resulted in a slew of blurry pictures.
Most of Dylan's pictures were perfect, but he was over-the-top charming at times.
I resorted to bribery with Lexie. Case in point: Pictures where her mouth was full of chocolate.
When I put the two of them together, things got rough. Dylan likes to hold onto Lexie in pictures, and sometimes that results in a big squeeze.
Note to self: Turn off the TV next time. Lexie could not peel her eyes away from the screen.
And then Dylan's giggles started.
Before long, a tickle fight was in full swing.
Despite the struggle, my ten minute effort paid off! My cards are ordered, and on their way. Sure, I may have to hand deliver some of them, but they're done! I can't wait to share!
I had to a very quick last minute photoshot with my kiddos this weekend so I could {hopefully} get cards out on time too! I love the one of Lexie watching TV....my boys would be doing the exact same thing!
ReplyDeleteCute pix! So great that they love eachother!
ReplyDeleteahhaha that Lexie's giggles sure are contagious! your kiddos are soo sweet and cute! for sure ull have a great card for christmas! cant wait to see it!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Marice
At the time you want to pull your hair out, but when you look back it's so worth it to have the silly pictures! We took Christmas cards of four kids and four DOGS! Talk about a difficult time getting everyone looking at the camera at the same time, and without tongues wagging!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I'm the real slacker here. My oldest had basketball tournaments the past two weeks, so no Christmas cards this year. I'm really thinking about sending out a Happy New Years card. Do you think people would consider it weird?!
ReplyDeleteThe outtakes are some of the best pictures ever!! Glad you managed to get them done.
ReplyDeleteWhew. Lucky you! I can't see the photos because photobucket is blocked at work, but I know that taking pics of two kids together can be darn near impossible! Often when my two get together they end up making each other cry. LOL. Glad this part of the Xmas festivities is done!
ReplyDeletecute ones in there
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!! They are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures! How precious!
ReplyDeleteI love the play by play of events leading up to the perfect picture :) I love getting silly Christmas cards, so maybe an outtake is a good choice!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Stef!
ReplyDeleteThose are great photos! I know exactly what you mean though b/c I have to try to get one perfect shot of 5 boys all looking at the camera. I don't even try to get them all to smile anymore...ha ha!
ReplyDeletethat is too cute! i love how Dylan hangs on to her. Is there anything harder than trying to get these pics though?!
ReplyDeleteThese are to freaking cute!
ReplyDeleteThey are all my favorite! Any of the outtakes would make an adorable card :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! They are silly! I can't wait to see the cards if these are the outtakes!!
ReplyDeleteI love them all...not bad for outtakes!
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet. I think even your outtakes are fabulous.
