Now that the secret is out, it's time to document my pregnancy! I am 8 weeks, as of yesterday.
DATE: December 27, 2010
How far along: 8 weeks
Total Weight Gained: None-probably lost
How big is baby? About the size of a kidney bean
How baby is growing: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways.
Maternity Clothes: Not yet
Sleep: I'm exhausted, but always wake up at least once in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
Best Moment of the Week: Telling everybody our news, and seeing their reaction!
Movement: None
Food Craving: Kosher Dill Pickles, Jello
Food Aversions: Everything else, especially liquids.
Morning Sickness: I've been sick since before I missed my period, and it's getting worse. I'm praying it doesn't last my entire pregnancy, like it did with Dylan and Lexie.
Gender: Unknown
Symptoms: Nausea every waking moment, vomiting, gagging, headaches from dehydration, exhaustion.
What I miss: Feeling normal!!!
What I'm looking forward to: The morning sickness going away (Praying!!!), and feeling the baby move!
Here's the baby bump at 8 weeks. I'm wearing a bulky sweater, but there's not much to see! I'm incredibly bloated like I was with Lexie. My belly actually shrunk after my first trimester with her!
I am so happy for you guys!! cant wait to watch and read while you go through this pregnancy!! Hope you start feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats to y'all! I have no clue how I'm going to get over this baby fever I've been having with everyone getting pregnant or having babies!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for an ease of that sickness! Must be a strong baby in there!
ReplyDeleteSounds exactly like my 1st trimester. With Graham it lasted until 20+ wks. This time, I must say at 14 wks, I'm starting to feel a lot more normal. I haven't vomited in at least 3 or 4 days!! :)
ReplyDeleteSO exciting! Sorry about the morning sickness...yuck! NO FUN. I didn't have it with either of my boys, BUT I did feel the nausea late at night! Hope it goes away and you get back to your old self soon :) Can't wait to hear about that baby growing...SO exciting! Don't get me too excited though, we've SAID no more kiddos!! Ha!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What do the kids think?
ReplyDeleteYou don't look bloated! I am sorry to hear of the sickness. I was sick with Asher, and you are so right. There were times I'd cry, just wanting to feel "normal" again! Stay strong!!!
