It's me + 6 kids today, so I'm sure it's going to be a busy one! My two older kids have the day off school, but there's no sleeping in for us, since I decided to add 2 more kids to the mix. Lots of caffeine will (most likely) help!
I love Friday posts, but I always have such a difficult time narrowing it down to just five things. I think I'm going to succeed for the first time this week!
Exactly one year ago, on May 4th, Liam was hospitalized for a very severe case of cellulitis. Liam decided to celebrate the anniversary by sending us BACK to the ER!
It all began on Wednesday afternoon when I took him out of his highchair and he collapsed. We assumed his foot had fallen asleep so we just let him take his nap as planned. When he woke up, he couldn't put any weight on his right leg and kept crying. Off to the ER we went. His xrays were clear, so we were sent home with pain medication and a wait and see approach in the hopes that it's a sprain that will just heal itself.
Well, let's see how that's going...
There's no change and the poor little dude has these frustrated outbursts because he can't stand up and walk. It's torturous for my busy little toddler tornado!
I bought myself a pair of Converse this weekend! I've been wanting a pair for a while and I finally took the plunge. I went with black since they will match everything, but I have my eyes on a few other colors! I do love matching my littlest dude, though!
I got a sweet Mother's Day gift from Netflix today! Part of the fun of being on the StreamTeam is all the fun packages that arrive in the mail. This super soft and comfy shirt is perfect for my daily "momiform" and goes just as well with my favorite sleep pants! I love the second part of my gift, too, but I'm not allowed to share that just yet. Netflix is incredibly generous and I'm honored to be on their #StreamTeam!
I only buy toys for birthdays and holidays, but every so often I spot a great developmental toy that's too good to pass up. The Imaginarium Chalk Blocks and lacing vehicles set were on clearance at Toys R Us, so I picked them up. My older kids are having so much fun creating cities with the chalk blocks and the lacing vehicles are perfect for Liam's Occupational Therapy sessions!
My kids are growing up WAY too fast. Right after I snapped the picture below, Lexie found out what "time of the month" means. Her reaction? "You have GOT to be kidding me!" She had so many questions and informed me that she does not want to go through puberty. Trust me. I feel the same way!
On that note, TGIF!!! What do you have planned for the weekend?
I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! XOXO
