365 Project: Week 23

{June 3rd}
Lily turned 10 months old!  Dylan had baseball pictures at noon, then we spent the afternoon visiting Grant's family.  We headed back home around dinner time to prepare for the last week of school!

We met my best friend at the library for a playdate, then we all went to the park together.  The kids had a great time playing, riding bikes, playing in the sand, and attempting to fly kites!  We spent the rest of the day at home, and I took the rest of Lily's 10 month pictures.

Dylan's last day of school!  It was a busy one.  I babysat all day.  My sweet boy returned home excited for summer break, but missing his friends and teacher already!  That evening, Dylan had a baseball game.  Grant's mom and Nannie showed up to cheer him on.  A bird pooped on my back and through my hair as we were watching.  Apparently that's good luck, but I didn't feel very lucky.  The team celebrated a great season with a pizza party following the game, then we went to dinner at our friend's house.  We ended up staying until midnight, and Dylan spent the night!

The first official day of summer vacation.  We didn't do anything, and it was lovely to relax!  Dylan returned home late morning.  He ended up napping all afternoon!  That evening, he and Lexie went outside to play with the water table and squirt guns.  They came in and watched a movie before bed.  A nice, relaxing start to summer break!

We enjoyed another day at home, with no plans.  That never happens!

{June 8th}

Our crazy busy day to make up for two days of being at home!  We almost missed story time at the library, thanks to everybody sleeping in.  Luckily, my friend saved us with a text and a phone call.  We rushed around, and made it just 5 minutes after it started.  Dylan, Lily, and I hung out in the children's library with my friend, while Lexie went to story time with her friends. After story time, my friend took Dylan and Lexie to the museum.  I had some errands to do, and I got to go with just one child! Grant and I ended up having a nice lunch at the Olive Garden (Lily LOVED it-she feasted on breadsticks, soup, the pepper in the salad, and finished out her meal by sucking on a lemon.) We grabbed dessert, in the form of banana pudding milkshakes, from Chick-fil-A. YUM-heaven in a cup! We picked up a pizza and met my friend and the kids at the park.  We got to hear all about the museum while they had their lunch.  Shortly after arriving home, we turned around and left again, this time for Dylan's final baseball game.  My dad, Grant's mom, Grant's Nannie joined us to cheer him on!  After the game, we went to our friend's house for dinner.  I ended up bringing her two kids home with me for a sleepover.  It was a late, late, late night.

{June 9th}

I was the first one awake, at 10:45.  I haven't slept in that long in ages, and I'm pretty certain it's one of the few times Lily ever slept that late!  The big kids didn't even wake up until 11:30!  Grant drove Jack and Audrey home, just as my nephew arrived for the afternoon.  Grant stayed home with Dylan and Brandon, but the girls and I had afternoon plans.  We picked my mom up, and took her to lunch at one of our favorite restaurants.  Afterward, we did some shopping at Costco, Toys R Us, and the grocery store.  It was a fun day with my mom and girls! After shopping, we had dinner with my parents, my sister, and my two nephews.  After dinner, we went to my best friend's house for the evening.  Unfortunately, she was feeling sick, so we didn't stay as long as we usually do.  The kids had fun playing, and crashed on the way home!

  3. Oh my stars - since when did 10 months pass your little one by?! She's so adorable and I love all the big flowers you have on her! I think our two are just used them them - people are amazed Nora keeps hers on all the time. She has her moments but for the most part she knows she NEEDS it....she has unruly hair...it's resembling a mullet so a flower it is!! :-) ALL your kids are so cute. I'm glad the beginning of summer is going well so far!

  12. Jackson just had his first Olive Garden bread sticks too and he guarded them... he was not pleased when I swooped in to snatch off soggy ends! And I don't even know what I would do if either of my kids slept past 8... let alone 11!!! I will try not to hold it against you :)
