Happy Friday! We are a week into Summer Break, and it isn't nearly as relaxing as I thought it would be. I'm taking a much needed break from the chaos, and sharing a few of my current favorite mom life things!
Speaking of chaos, it's officially dance recital weekend, which means I'm in a frenzy. Lily already had a rehearsal and her classes two days this week, has a full dress rehearsal from 5-7:30 tonight, and she's in 4 numbers in the dance recital tomorrow. And this isn't even competititive dance! I'm still gathering costumes and recital necessities, and THIS is what I did last night...
Even though mom life isn't the least bit relaxing right now, here are five things that are making my life just a bit easier. Easy is very good, which is why these things made my list of favorites!
I received free product or compensation for some of the items in this post. All of my opinions are 100% honest, and I only share the things I love most!
Friday MOM LIFE Favorites
Radio Flyer Folding Trike
Liam is a SUPER energetic little guy! He could seriously give the Energizer Bunny a run for his money. (I would place my bet on Liam.) I actually moved my "home office" outdoors this week, because it's the only way my house stays intact.
This week, my dad surprised Liam with an early birthday gift: a Radio Flyer Folding Trike that he can actually use! Until now, Liam's little legs were too short to pedal any of the tricycles we already owned. He was using one in PT at school, so it was on my list of things to buy this Summer. My dad beat us to it...he researched best bikes for kids who have Down syndrome, and it was a perfect choice!
This trike is a game changer! He is obsessed with pedaling his bike around, and putting things in the "trunk." And I love how it folds for easy storage and portability. It kept him busy all week, which meant less chasing after him for me!
So...if you have a tiny child, or a child who has Down syndrome or other special needs, put this tricycle on your wishlist!

Bubbly Belle Bath Bombs
As you can imagine, with 4 kids off of school, I don't get much "me" time. I love to sneak away and unwind with a hot bath whenever I can. It might not happen often, but these awesome bath bombs smell AMAZING, and they have an extra special treat inside: a ring! Make sure you follow along on Instagram to see these in action...
The Baby Unicorn Manifesto
School might be out, but we are still reading every single day! Lily's latest read is The Baby Unicorn Manifesto by Dain Heer and Katarina Wallentin. This beautifully illustrated book has a super sweet message for the reader. (Hint: Every child is a unicorn. And Lily happily embraces her inner unicorn!)

Wikibuy
Wikibuy is the way to save! Like many people, I do a lot of shopping online, and with four kids, I need to save money any way I can. I love Wikibuy! I can easily search for something by store or by product, and they do the work for me by finding the best price and coupon codes to save me money. If I don't want to buy the product immediately, I can add it to my watchlist, and get price drop notifications. I added the Wikibuy Chrome Extension to my toolbar so I can search easily (and often). Have you tried Wikibuy yet?
Right now, I'm watching these items for Liam's Birthday:
Disc Swing
On one of my recent Aldi shopping trips for Liam's gluten free food, I spotted a disc swing for well under $10. We had just taken down the swingset that was attached to our two story fort, and the kids were missing their swings. Of course, it ended up in my cart, and we attached the swing to a tree in our yard that sits on a hill. That swing gets used from morning until dark! Even my teen and tween use it! Who would have ever thought that hanging an inexpensive swing from a tree would be the best backyard idea of the summer?!?
The swing looks like so much fun, and that's so great that all the kids enjoy it! The tricycle is so cute, and I've never heard of wikibuys. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe kids still love the swing...definitely a great purchase!

DeleteOoh sounds like a great bike for Liam! And aw, I'm loving all the unicorn stuff. My oldest niece had a unicorn birthday party this year so I've been really noticing all the fun unicorn things.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some time to relax this week! :)
