Every month, I try to capture all the moments that make life so special! I know I take a LOT of pictures, but there's a good reason for it. So often I wish I could freeze time, but since that isn't possible, photos will have to serve as a reminder of all the moments I hold so dear. Someday, I'm going to be so thankful to have these moments to look back on!
March was a busy month for us. It was also the last month with my trustworthy Nikon D90. After nearly a decade of use, my beloved camera started to go. I tried to hold out for months, but it was obvious that the photo quality was getting worse. So for my birthday last week, I got two amazing gifts: a new camera and lens! I can't wait to share all those photos after April ends! But for now, here's the last batch of photos with my D90 for the Capture the Moments March Edition!
We kicked off March by continuing with the Read Across America Week Celebration. Lily rocked her crazy socks for Fox in Socks Day and she dressed up as her favorite book character the following day. I LOVE how she chose the old lady from the "There was an old lady who swallowed a..." series!
As Lily's confidence grew with her reading skills, she spent more time reading to Liam.
We stocked up on LOTS of groceries.
We continued to get acquainted with our new puppy. Sweet Ella fit in perfectly with us from the very beginning!
The excitement over Easter kicked in!
Liam and Puppy naptime quickly became my favorite time of the day! (Because let's be honest...sometimes it really is like having two toddlers!)
But oh, it was worth it. So worth it.
Grant became a dog person.
We made grocery store pitstops after hours of dance.
It snowed...a lot!
Birthdays were celebrated with family.
Gluten was ingested one last time. (We soon found out that he does, indeed, have Celiac Disease.)
Sometimes inner divas were unleashed!
The siblings bonded over sweet treats!
I got a new passenger for preschool dropoff.
Our days were ruled by errands...
...and unexpected snow showers.
I captured the beautifully posed moments...
...and the hilariously candid moments!
We ran off energy outdoors whenever possible.
We made the most of scary medical procedures.
Some of us continued to fall asleep anywhere!
The dynamic duo plotted their chaos...
And the puppy grew and grew and grew.
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day.
We laughed...
...and we cried. Because life isn't always rainbows and unicorns.
But mom can make it all better. (Just saying.)
So we laughed some more!
We grew sick of the snow that just wouldn't stop falling.
We celebrated World Down Syndrome and showed the world Down syndrome is NOTHING to fear!
Even Ella rocked her crazy socks in support of one of her favorite humans!
We also celebrated the first day of Spring with a snowstorm and a school cancellation. It was a bummer, but we made the most of it!
We hung around.
We toured Lexie's school for Open House, and left without a broken arm, unlike last year!
But we made up for that by hurting a foot and refusing to walk for two days. X-ray showed no fractures or breaks...just a sprain! (And my arms grew very tired very quickly!)
We excitedly greeted older siblings after school.
We spent lots of time puppy training!
And just as much time puppy snuggling!
We prepared for Easter.
We had a few (rare) lazy moments.
We celebrated a dear cousin's upcoming wedding!
We ended the month with our favorite Easter Eve traditions, and counted down the hours to Easter Sunday and the first day of April!
True to the saying, March came in like a lion, attacked us with neverending snow, and went out like a lamb! But despite the winter weather, it was full of so many incredibly good moments!
