Friday 5

Emmy Mom

I'm so excited to be co-hosting Friday 5 with the beautiful Emmymom! I have been reading her blog for quite some time now.  She is such a sweet person, and has a beautiful family! Friday 5 is a fun and easy way to share 5 thoughts and 5 pictures from the week.  Check out her blog and link up your posts!

5 Thoughts:

{1}  We are only 3 weeks into summer vacation, and I'm exhausted!  We do something every single day, and I feel like I'm always driving somewhere.  My great niece is at our house 3 times a week. She and Lexie are best buddies, so we love having her here!  Even though we're always on the go, I'm having a great summer with my family.  We already checked so many things off our summer bucket list!

{2}  We are meeting up with a local family this morning.  They have an adorable little girl named Dolly, who also has Down Syndrome.  She is turning 1 today, and we are so excited to finally meet her and her family!

{3}  I am still doing T25.  I'm currently on the Gamma round...the third and final round.  It is intense, and I'm finally getting muscles in my arms.  I like to tease my husband and tell him I'm going to be tougher than him soon.  I really enjoy this program, and actually look forward to working out!  After I finish this round, I plan to continue doing a T25 hybrid workout.

{4}  This week, we continued the tradition of weeknight pool parties at a friend's house.  We gather with our friends once a week so we can have dinner together and swim.  We all look forward to it!

{5}  I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that Lily is turning 3 in just over a month, and Liam is turning ONE just two weeks later. Didn't I just have him?!?  Time flies!

Our usual group at a playdate last week. Missing from the picture are Dylan, two teenagers, a toddler, and a baby.  The five of us have a LOT of kids!

We went swimming three times this week!  The kids always have so much fun.  It was Liam's first time in the pool, and we had to get creative.  He was too small for the float, and the water came up to his chin.  Wearing Lily's vest inside the float helped!  Poor little guy was surrounded by so much pink gear (4th baby problem), but he LOVED swimming!

Lexie and my niece dressed Liam up as a girl while I was doing laundry.  I have to admit, he could pull it off!!!

We went to the spray park yesterday.  Liam had so much fun with his friends. Amelia is 5 months (almost 6), Liam is 10 months, and Violet is 8 months.  They are so cute together!  I'm fairly certain both girls passed him up in height and weight.  He's a little dude! The toddlers and big kids had a great time, too!

So awesome you have done at least one thing everyday. We definitely have had a few do nothing days, but since we have had so much company I think we needed a few of those days.
So awesome that you have a good group of friends that you hang out with.

Thank you so much for co-hosting!

  5. I feel the exact same way - always driving from one place to another! I'm glad we live in the country, but sheesh, it sure would be more convenient in the summer to be in town!

Glad you all are having lots of fun times :-)
