A Christmas Tradition: Annual Christmas Party

One Christmas tradition that we look forward to every year is our Christmas party with our group of friends!

When this tradition was started, there were just 4 kids in attendance.  Since then, our families have grown!  Each year, the party is bigger AND better!

This year, we all met up at the local parade before returning to a friend's home for  the party.

We kicked off the party with craft time.  The kids decorated wooden sleighs, which were turned into magnets.

Afterward, the kids played while the adults snacked and talked!

The eagerly awaited moment finally arrived...the gift exchange!!!  The kids opened their gifts in the youngest to oldest order, so Lily was the first to unwrap!

By the time the kids finished unwrapping their presents, the pizza had arrived.  Everybody dug in.  Lily...quite literally.

We turned the kids loose for some more playtime.  After several hours, they began to wind down.

The kids left the party clutching their new gifts and goody bags.  It was another successful party with our wonderful friends!  We are so lucky to have them, and the kids are so lucky to be able to grow up together.  They are all like family to us!
