Week 32: 365 Project

{AUGUST 5th}

It was a low-key day.  We spent the afternoon visiting Grant's parents and grandma.

{AUGUST 6th}

We had a really busy, but fun, day!  Lily had her 12 month checkup, then Dylan and Lexie picked out their school shoes.  We had to stop at several more stores before picking up some dinner.  We ended our afternoon of errands by having a picnic in the park.  After the kids played, we headed home for the night.

{AUGUST 8th}

We met my best friend and her boys, along with several of her neighbors, at a local orchard for a playdate.  On the way home, we ran some errands, and then had Lily's weekly blood draw done.  That evening, we had dinner and went swimming with my some of the moms in our blogger/twitter group.  We managed to swim for about an hour before a big storm hit.  We moved indoors, and the storm trapped us there for over an hour.  It was a lot of fun!

{AUGUST 9th}

Dylan went to my parent's house for a sleepover, so Lexie was feeling sad. I asked her what she wanted to do, and she wanted to go to one of her favorite restaurants (The Deck House) for dinner with me!  So, she, Lily, and I went to dinner together, and then shopped for some first birthday party supplies.  It was a nice evening with my girls, and they both fell asleep on the way home.  They both ended up waking a few hours later, when they heard their dad.  Lily helped us cheer on the Steelers in their preseason game, and Lexie watched a movie in Dylan's room.  I finally got them back to bed!

Dylan, my dad, and my nephew went to Erie, to visit my brother.  The girls and I spent the day with my mom.  We finished up our first birthday party shopping, and then my mom and I went to work making cake pops.  They were rough!  Once home, I put the kids to bed, and stayed up until 3 AM getting stuff ready for the party.  I made more cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, and a highchair tutu, in addition to gathering everything up for the party.
