Our last week of summer vacation just came to an end. We had a great summer! It was filled with playdates, swimming, sleepovers, parties, picnics, and a trip to the beach. We made some incredible memories!
Tomorrow, Dylan starts 2nd grade, and Lexie starts Kindergarten. It's going to be so hard for me to put them on the bus in the morning!
We made sure to live it up this past week, cramming in as much summer fun as we possibly could!
AUGUST 19th
We picked Dylan up from his sleepover, then visited Grant's family for a bit. We enjoyed a lazy summer evening at home!
AUGUST 20th
We spent the day crafting for my Creativity for Kids Review/Giveaway. Dylan and Lily played while Lexie and I crafted. After dinner, we went to get ice cream, then played at the park until bedtime!
AUGUST 21st
We spent the entire day at home. We finished our day with dinner an a movie.
AUGUST 22nd
Busy, busy day! We went to the Carnegie Science Center with our friends. As soon as we got back, we went to Lexie's Kindergarten Orientation. From there, we went to our friend's house for dinner.
AUGUST 23rd
Another busy day! That morning, we toured Dylan and Lexie's schools, so they could find their classrooms. From there, we went to a swimming playdate with our friends. We spent the entire afternoon there. I took Lily home for a quick nap while the big kids stayed there. We rejoined them, and a few other friends, for dinner and more swimming! That night, Dylan spent the night there, while Audrey slept over our house.
AUGUST 24th
After Lily's weekly blood draw (horrible no good experience this time!), we dropped Audrey off, and picked Dylan up. We spent the afternoon and evening visiting my parents. That evening, my sister stopped by, so the kids got to play with their cousin for a while. They played until it was dark out. That night, Dylan and Lexie had their last movie sleepover of the summer.
AUGUST 25th
We spent the afternoon running errands. Dylan and Lexie got haircuts. Dylan's Bieber hair is gone...I miss it! We did some back to school shopping, then dropped Dylan off at my sister's house to camp out for the night. They cooked dinner over the fire, had s'mores, and camped in a tent in their backyard! Meanwhile, the girls, Grant, and I visited my best friend and her family. It was a fun night!
We had a really fun week! Now it's back to the grind. I am going to miss all the summer fun!
Love the pogo stick jump roping! Talk about multi-tasking!!
ReplyDeleteDid Lily fall asleep in a shopping cart? That is hilarious, and I want your sleepers! Lexie and Dylan have intense eyes eating their ice cream... I wouldn't mess with their cones!!! That car is perfect for Lily - her smile in it is awesome :)
ReplyDeleteDylan looks like such a grown up with his hair cut! OMG the cute.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect last week of summer.
I am excited for Dom to go back but bummed out too. Back to the grind.
I love Dylan's hair cut. He looks very grown up and handsome. Buddy got his hair cut this weekend and the woman totally butchered his hair. I almost cried. I'm trying to be okay with it...but after his pictures next week, I might just let him shave it all off (as he asked for) because I am having a hard time looking at it as it is now. So sad.
ReplyDeleteAwhhhh I loved his JB hair!! =) Hope today's send off isn't filled with tears. XO
ReplyDeleteThat big ol' tree is so very cool. I miss the summer fun too, but it's nice to have a quiet house :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! I cannot believe you have been doing this for 34 weeks, you are so dedicated! Your kids will love reading these someday. I love Dylan's new cut and Lily is so sweet in her little car. Lexie looks excited for kindergarten!!
ReplyDeleteDylan looks so grown up with his hair cut!
ReplyDeleteMore sad about summer ending than any other year! Glad you had a great "last week"!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great and productive week! You have got to be glad school is back in, but missing them too!
