Liliana got an early Christmas present today from her Nina and Papa...pierced ears!
It's tradition! They took Lexie to get her ears pierced, when she was 9 months old, for her first Christmas present. When Lexie had hers pierced, Dylan and I walked to the other side of the mall, because I didn't want to watch. I was a bit apprehensive about it, but my mom really wanted to have it done. Lexie never touched her earrings, so I knew we'd get Lily's done early as well.
Lily is a bit younger than Lexie was, but she did great. I actually stayed to watch this time! Lily may not remember it, but she had a special day with her Nina!
Lily started screaming before they even pierced her ears, because she hates to be restrained. I just may have shed a few tears with her.
The technician finished quickly, and the screaming stopped.
Within seconds, something in a store window caught her eye, and she was mesmerized. She hasn't cried since!
Dylan and Lexie got a little treat, too. They waved to Santa and then rode the train!
Lilybug watched them go around and around!
Dylan, Lexie, and Lily loved the mall. We have pretty much every store and restaurant near us, so we only go to the mall once or twice a year, even though it is nearby as well. They loved seeing it decorated for Christmas and exploring all the kiosks!
It was a fun night for my kids, and my mom was so happy that Lily's ears are now pierced!
It was a special day for Lily! Baby girl is rockin' her bling!
Aw, so cute! I had my daughter's ears pierced at 4 or 5 months. I love little girls in earrings! :) Your kids are all so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet! You have such a beautiful family! I think it is so precious that they get to do this with their grandparents. What wonderful memories you all will forever have.
ReplyDeleteMy Katiebug, who is now 23 yrs old, received a pair of diamond ~ yes diamond! ~ earrings the day she was born. Her dad & I took her to the mall when she was 3 weeks old and had her ears pierced because, hello...there was a pair of the teeniest diamond earrings sitting on her dresser. She only cried when they put the alcohol on her ears because it was cold. Never cried when they did the actual piercing nor did she ever tug or pull on them. She had them from such an early age, it was as if they were just a part of her. So glad everyone had such a great time!
ReplyDeleteWay to be strong, Stefanie! Love the bling :)
ReplyDeleteWe did our older girls when they were little, but now we have decided that 8 years old is the key. I just don't like to have to do all the work!
