Ever since I became a mom, the years have been passing by so quickly. The rapid passing of time is what surprises me most about raising kids! I try desperately to slow down time and savor every moment, but the years just keep picking up speed, and I feel time slipping away.
I want to remember all the little details about what makes my children and our everyday lives so special, so I make it a point to pull out my camera almost every day to document their childhood and our lives together. These little moments and details are the things I never want to forget, so I love that I can capture them forever through pictures.
May was a busy month! It was the last month of the school year, so it was filled with end of the year events. Most of our days were booked from morning to night, but we still had some time for fun!
The month started off on a great note! We took Lexie to her appointment with her orthopedic surgeon, and instead of shortening the cast like we were initially told, they took it off completely. After 6 weeks in a cast almost up to her armpit, Lexie was thrilled to be able to bend her arm again!
The weather was also hot and perfect on the first day of May, so our entire family headed outdoors after dinner to play!

I spent most mornings defending my mug from a toddler who wanted an unnecessary caffeine fix...
...and most afternoons playing with my youngest two!
The prep for the dance recital began, which made our weeks even more chaotic! Dance classes every Tuesday and Thursday focused solely on the routines for the recital.
Remember our tiny baby bunnies? They GREW.
May The Fourth Be With You IS a holiday for the adorable nerds in my family!
Some of the women in my family gathered for an early Mother's Day Tea Party. We had a great time celebrating motherhood!
My sweet girls and I logged in some quality time together.

Liam and I enjoyed our morning walks together while his older siblings were in school.
There were some chilly days, but we still went outside almost every day! Liam was always barefoot. Outdoors is his favorite place to be!
The kids spent most of their evenings outdoors together. The promise of a carefree Summer lingered in the air!
When the rain hit hard, there were plenty of messes made indoors.

My wannabe fairy made a fairy garden at her Nina and Papa's house, and was so proud of her hard work!
Our entire family celebrated Mother's Day a day early at an event at The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. We had a great night!
I had an amazing Mother's Day with my beautiful kids!
We spent many hours at the park in between Kindergarten pickup and preschool drop off.
All the time outdoors caused quite a few car naps!

Thanks to the longer days, we were able to go to the park more often after dinner!
The beloved Power Wheels Barbie Jeep came out of storage and the MANY laps around our house began.

I spent LOTS of time chasing - and catching - this little dude!
Dylan, Lexie and Lily had their last few days of school. Lexie went on the Just Ducky Tour in Pittsburgh for her field trip, Dylan's field trip was at PNC Park for a Pirates game and he played the national anthem with the 6th grade band before the game, and all three kids had their field days!
