It's officially time to catch up on my 365 project. The busyness of life just got in the way, and I'm now 2 months behind!
WEEK 36
{September 3rd}
The big kids had a 2 hour delay. After they left, my dad, Lily, Liam, and I headed to Pittsburgh, because I had an appointment with my lactation consultant. We got Liam set up with a supplemental nurser to help him gain weight. My dad gave me a tour of where he grew up on the way home.
{September 4th}
Just a typical day at home!
{September 5th}
My friend, Ashley, brought her son over for a playdate. She has a brother with Down Syndrome, and has been so supportive to us. She is an amazing person!
{September 6th}
Liam's DUE DATE! He came much earlier than we expected! Instead of spending the day pregnant, I took him to his weekly weight check appointment. Afterward, we went to my parent's house for dinner.
{September 7th}
Lazy day at home, followed by an impromptu get together at our house, with our friends. It was a fun night!
{September 8th}
We spent the afternoon visiting Grant's family.
{September 9th}
Grant and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary! Unfortunately he had to work all day. My sister, Jen, came to visit in the morning, Jocie came to visit in the afternoon, then I took Lily to her 2 year checkup. Grant brought home takeout for our anniversary dinner. Times have changed!
WEEK 37
{September 10th}
A typical day at home!
{September 11th}
A bittersweet day. It would have been Grant's dad's birthday. It was the first birthday without him. Grant stayed home from work, because we had to take Liam into Pittsburgh for his followup appointment with the cardiologist. On the way into the city, we hit awful traffic. We tried to take a back way, but it was just as bad. What typically takes us 25 minutes to get to the city took us almost 3 hours! We were over 2 hours late for Liam's appointment, but the doctor was understanding and fit us in. We were incredibly stressed out, by that point! Liam was an angel at during his heart ultrasound. His heart looked great, but part of the ventricle that closes after birth pinched off into his artery. It looks perfectly fine, but it's something that will need monitored. On the way home, we stopped to have lunch. Liam slept through the entire meal, and Lily was so good. She had to talk to everybody that surrounded us!
{September 12th}
Another uneventful day at home.
{September 13th}
I had lunch with Steph and Amber at Amber's house. That afternoon, I went to visit my parents. My mom and I went shopping, then headed back to her house for dinner.
{September 14th}
My parents watched the kids while Grant and I went out to dinner at Red Lobster to celebrate our anniversary. They had some of my siblings over for dinner, so we stayed a while to visit after we got back. That evening, our friends, Matt and Tina, came over to visit.
{September 15th}
I *think* we stayed home all day. I honestly can't remember!
{September 16th}
My mom's birthday! That morning, Jen came over to visit.
WEEK 38
{September 17th}
Liam had a weight check in the morning. The rest of the day was spent at home.
{September 18th}
Liam turned 1 month old! I met Amber for a walk, met my sister, Annie, for lunch at the Olive Garden, then visited with Jocie in the afternoon.
{September 19th}
My dad, Lily, Liam, and I went into Pittsburgh for Liam's hearing screen. We were late to that, thanks to traffic. The hearing screen was long. They took us into a completely dark, soundproof room, and had me nurse Liam to sleep. After he was asleep, they did the test. He ended up passing in both ears. We were thrilled! We went back to my dad's house to visit for the afternoon. After dinner with my parents, we headed back home.
{September 20th}
We went to Jocie and Tom's house for the evening. It was a lot of fun!
{September 21st}
We went to Grant's brother's new house that afternoon. His girlfriend's son was turning 18, so they threw him a party.
{September 22nd}
We went to the last Pirates regular season home game! We took Dylan, Lexie, and Liam. They had a great time!!!
{September 23rd}
I met Amber for a walk. The rest of the day was spent at home.
WEEK 39
{September 24th}
My sister, Jen's, birthday! We had an uneventful day at home.
{September 25th}
I met Amber for a walk, ran to Staples to print out some papers, then dropped them off at Dylan's school. The rest of the day was spent at home.
{September 26th}
Liam had a weight check in the morning, then we ran some errands, and did some shopping.
{September 27th}
I had my 6 week OB followup visit, then met Amber and our friend, Becca, for a walk. That afternoon, I visited my parents. My mom, the babies, and I went shopping, then returned to her house for dinner.
{September 28th}
We went to a picnic at my sister, Sharilyn's, house to celebrate all the September birthdays in our family. Afterward, we went to my sister, Annie's, house for the evening. Dylan ended up spending the night and Aubrey came back to our house for a sleepover.
{September 29th}
My nephew, Brady, turned 10! I got to see him briefly when I picked Dylan up at his house. The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home.
{September 30th}
Early Intervention came to our house for a meeting that morning, to get Liam's services started. After the meeting, I met Amber at the park for a walk.
