How far along: 36 Weeks!
Due Date: September 6, 2013
Total Weight Gained: 8 lbs
How big is baby? Our sweet pea is almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long! I'm going to guess bigger! ;)
How
baby is growing: Baby #4 is shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered the body as
well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and
protected the skin during the nine-month amniotic bath. Most likely he/she in a head-down position. (He/She IS, and the head is very low!) {from
babycenter.com}
Labor Signs: The baby's head is very low and
he/she is in birthing position! I had my first "practice labor" yesterday, which consisted of contractions every 5 minutes for 4 hours. At my appointment on Tuesday, the OB predicted 2 weeks longer.
Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing my regular pants, but I now wear longer, non-maternity shirts.
Stretch Marks: I've never had any!
Sleep: I wake up every hour with a contraction and to pee.
Best Pregnancy Moment of the Week: Hearing that I'm progressing at my OB appointment! It made it feel very real!
Movement:
Strong, frequent movements, more like squirms, along with hiccups once a day! I can now feel feet,
knees, elbows, and hands jutting out as they punch or kick me!
Food Cravings: Watermelon and freezer pops.
Food Aversions: Most foods/drinks.
Morning Sickness: Every single day. Obviously, I'm going to have it until the day I deliver, just as I did with my other three!
Gender: It's a surprise! We have never found out the gender of our babies!
Names:
If it's a girl, she has a definite first name (it was actually our 2nd
girl name for our 3 previous pregnancies), and I think we have a middle
name. It's the opposite for a boy. The middle name will be Dayne,
after Grant's dad's middle name (he passed away in October, before we
got pregnant), but we don't have a first name. We have a list, but we
can't agree on the name, and nothing sounds perfect!
Symptoms:
Hyperemesis (ALL DAY morning sickness), Strong Braxton Hicks
contractions (irritable uterus), back pain, pressure, abdominal pain and
cramping, anemia, peeing more frequently, insomnia, nesting, headaches,
mood swings, and irritability.
Exercise: Treadmill workouts 3 days this week. I skipped it yesterday and today, due to my contractions. I really want to get Lily's party out of the way tomorrow!
What I miss: Being nausea-free!
What I'm looking forward to: My appointment on Tuesday!
