The entire weekend was spent with family and friends. It was a great reminder of how fortunate we are to be surrounded by so many loved ones!
On Saturday, we had our annual Easter party with our friends. I look forward to this every year. It is such a fun tradition! The kids had an egg hunt, played, and dyed eggs. We ate a delicious Easter dinner. After it got dark, there was a fire, S'mores, and a glow in the dark egg hunt!
It was so much fun, but the kids were getting tired, so it was time leave!
On the way home, we had a great talk about Jesus with the kids. I have the funniest story about that conversation, but it deserves it's own post!
Once home, we prepared everything for Easter morning. The kids left their baskets on our table to be filled and hidden, and headed off to bed.
On Easter morning, the kids were very eager to find their baskets! They looked for the telltale bunny prints to find where their baskets were hidden.
Our morning was filled with our Easter traditions, and then we headed off to have dinner with Grant's side of the family, dinner with my side of the family, and then a visit with Grant's other side of the family!
Lily thoroughly enjoyed her first Easter! There was lots to eat...
Easter is one of my favorite days of the year, and this year was even more special, because Lily is here with us!
