*I had a blogger/twitter mom playdate on Wednesday, at my IRL friend's house. I got to meet 3 other bloggers that I've never met before. We all have baby girls, all within a few months of each other! They were so nice, and we have plans to get together again next month! I can't wait!
*I had Dylan's parent/teacher conference today! It was a quick one. He got straight A's, and his teacher loves him! That is a huge compliment, because she's not a fan of boys. She said she can tell that he's going to be a great husband/father someday. I'm so proud of my little man. He has the sweetest personality, is so polite and respectful, and is a smart, hard-working kid!
*A few of Lily's Christmas presents arrived last week. I had no idea what to get her, considering I have a toys r us in my attic, so I chose a few different things. I bought her Sophie the giraffe, vanilla flavored teethers, and a Wubbanub pink elephant pacifier holder. Can I just be done at 3 gifts? I'm at a loss! Dylan and Lexie had just about every new toy that came out, so Lily doesn't need a single thing.
*Some exciting things happened this week! I got offered the shutterfly promotion, got a new bzzcampaign, won a Tommee Tippee giveaway, and got the email saying I was chosen to host my first mommy party! I can't wait for my kit to get here, so I can host my OralB stages party!
*I received an award from a sweet blog friend, Steph! I haven't met her yet, but hopefully will soon, at the next playdate! She is always so kind and supportive. Thank you for the award, Steph!

Sounds like you had a great week! Last year for Christmas my youngest was 8 months and I spent too much on my other kids so I just wrapped up some toys from our toy storage. It wasn't quite as fun for me, but Daxton didn't seem to mind. :)
ReplyDeleteWe also have Sophie the giraffe.
Happy Friday to ya :)
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on your award! What a fun bloggy playdate...I bet yall had a great time sharing stories and laughing! Us blogger Mommas have SO much in common, don't we??!
Awhh thanks for the award! So sweet that Dylan's teacher said that, good job Momma! =) I think 3 gifts is fine for Lilly, I remember El's first Christmas she was 6 mos and made out with a ton of stuff. She was horribly cranky and I ended up not opening anything for her until the next day. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great play date! We just got Charlie the Little Peoples Zoo with sounds. Thats an idea for Lily~
ReplyDeleteit was great meeting you!
ReplyDeletethat is so sweet what Dylan's teacher said :-)
I completly agree about the baby gifts...I figure they dont know much this year haha
Thanks so much!!! John still sleeps with his Sophie - hopefully Lily will love hers too. It really helped him when he was young and teething. I am having trouble thinking of things for Jackson... and he only has one older sibling! Congrats to Dylan for such an awesome report!

ReplyDeleteAnd what a great compliment that teacher gave your son. That would have made my day too. :o)

What an exciting week! I've met so many wonderful bloggy friends...I hope that I'll have a chance to meet them in person one day.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like everything's doing great! Your blog is doing well, your son is doing remarkably well in school, and you're already thinking about Christmas gifts for your youngest. As you know, I only have one, and I still haven't begun to think about Christmas yet. You're an inspiration. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
lots of good news!!! You have done a fine job raising your kids. I could tell from the way that Dylan treats his sister that he will be quite a fine gentleman some day :-)
ReplyDeletegah, I must make that plural: "sisters" :D
