Celebrating Summer

This weekend, Grant and I have been busy completing projects around the house. Our only break was last night, when we spent a few hours at my sister's house for a picnic. My parents stepped in this weekend, to keep the kids busy while we worked on the house.

Today was Dylan's last full day of summer vacation. I felt bad that he spent it away from us all day...but he did have fun. When the kids came home, we decided to surprise them with a trip to Dairy Queen for some ice cream cones.

What better way to celebrate summer than with some ice cream?

My little man had a great summer, but he is ready to start Kindergarten! He can't wait to ride the bus and have fun in school!!!

    Sounds like the perfect way to end the summer! I only wish it were still warm enough here for ice cream! :)
