The Kids Behind The Blog

I think many of you are familiar with the kids behind my blog. After all, I share pictures of them daily! But I look forward to The Kids Behind The Blog linkup each month because it gives me the chance to share them on a more personal level!

This monthly interview is great because I get to hear what they really think. I just love hearing their answers and how they change each month!

This month's questions are all about the end of Summer and the start of the school year. My kids don't start school until the 31st so we still have a few weeks of Summer Break ahead of us. I'm not going to lie. We're dreading the upcoming school year! Long live Summer!

The kids behind the blog

What was your favorite thing you did over the Summer?

DYLAN- "Going to the pool with everyone." (We'll definitely be purchasing a pool membership next year!)

LEXIE- "I liked finding the mouse because it was very exciting!" (FYI, we still have the mouse. It's now a domesticated pet!)

LILY- "I like going to Virginia Beach!" (I'm glad! We're heading there next week!)

LIAM- "Night Night. Love you." Followed by a huge smooch, of course. (This was the only question I asked him. And apparently he was OVER it.)

What's your favorite topic to learn about at school?

DYLAN- "Science."

LEXIE- "Science!" (Science for the win!)

LILY- "Learn how to read books."

Who is your best friend from school?

DYLAN- "Tristan."

LEXIE- "Gabrielle and Hannah."

LILY- "Elin." (She added in her last name. She always calls her by her first and last name, even in person!)

What do you want to be when you grow up?

DYLAN- "I would like to be an NBA Superstar or an engineer." (I think the second option is the best.)

LEXIE- "I want to be a country singer or a pet care owner." (The country singer is a new one!)

LILY- "A pet doctor." (This is new, too!)

What is your least favorite thing about school?

DYLAN- "Math!" (True story. But that was my favorite subject.)

LEXIE- "My least favorite thing is that I have to do social studies." (I thought the same thing when I was in school!)

LILY- I don't like cleaning at school. (The least favorite chore!)

There you have it: a little insight into Dylan, Lexie, Lily and Liam's thoughts. I'm with Liam! Night night!

  1. I'm with Dylan on the pool this summer. We've spent so much time there. I love that they love science. That's not always true with lots of kids. And I'm with Dylan on math. Ugh! :)

  2. This is so fun!! I love interviewing my oldest for his birthday and now that my middle is almost 4, she can join in the fun. I should really start doing this at other random times throughout the year though!
