The weather was perfect, and we all had so much fun with our friends! We really are lucky to have such a fun group to hang out with. Amber's mom treated us to pizza, soda (okay...pop!), and homemade brownies! All the dads climbed in the pool with the kids, while us moms sat at the patio table observing, photographing, talking, and holding a delicious newborn baby!
I finally climbed into the pool for a few minutes before we left, and it was so nice. It felt like warm bath water! Lexie really wanted to go down the big slide, but nobody had taken her. I felt bad, and it looked like fun, so we gave it a shot! It was definitely enough excitement for me...I'm glad nobody took a picture of our faces as we flew into the pool. It was worth it, though. Lexie later said that the best part of her day was sliding down the big slide with mommy!
It was almost dark when we left, and the kids were exhausted when we got home. It was past their bedtime, so they were asleep in minutes! Three hours in a pool will do that to you!
It was such a wonderful evening with our friends, and we can't wait to do it again!
That's a whole lot of smles in those pictures!! It makes me miss living close to my mom in NY, she has practically the exact same pool! So much fun, I love those not planned kind of nights that turn out to be awesome!
