Bloom - An Event for New or Expectant Moms in Pittsburgh

As many of you know, my family lives in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Yes, I would love to live near the beach, because it's my happy place, but we stay in Pittsburgh because of how family-friendly it is! It truly is a wonderful place to raise a family. This weekend, Bloom is returning to Pittsburgh. If you are trying to conceive (or planning on trying soon), expecting, adopting, or have a new baby, this wonderful event is for you!

My fellow Pittsburgh Moms Blog contributors have been working tirelessly to bring Bloom to life for the third year in a row. I was involved during the first year, but missed it last year due to family weddings. I missed my PMB family during my looooong pregnancy, and I'm happy to be back!

Now that I have a new baby, I'm excited to both volunteer at the event and check out what's going on!

Our Unscheduled Summer

The end of the school year is just days away for most school districts in the Pittsburgh area. Any parent who has a child in school knows from experience that the last month of the school year is pure chaos. When you multiply that chaos by four kids, life gets crazy! After months of having something scheduled every single day, I officially declared we will be having an unscheduled summer!

100 Fun Things To Do With Your Kids This Summer

With only two weeks left in the school year, Dylan, Lexie and Lily are eagerly counting down to their last day! They already have big plans for all the fun things we're going to do over the Summer!

Although I love to have them home with me for the Summer, I wish I could freeze time. They are growing up way too fast, and this year flew by more quickly than I thought possible. Each year seems to go faster than the previous one, so I'm dreading the rapid passing of time next year! So for me, the next two weeks can pass by S L O W L Y. (Unlikely!)

I recently sat down with my kids to compile a list of all the fun activities we want to do this Summer. We based our list on our Camp Mom activities from last Summer and added in all the extra things we did. When we were done, we had a list of well over 100 items! Accomplishing over 100 activities in less than 3 months was impressive!
