Completely Candid I Heart Faces

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is "Completely Candid." One picture stood out in my mind when I thought of this theme. It is a picture that cracks me up every time I see it!

One day this summer, Dylan and my nephews were chasing around their Grandma (my mom) and wrestling her to the ground. I started snapping pictures of the action. Grandma finally put an end to the chase, by giving the boys wedgies!

It's not a visibly perfect shot, but it's definitely a fun one!

I Heart Faces-Nostalgia

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is Nostalgia. I photographed my 2 1/2 year old daughter, Alexandria, in a field behind my house. She was wearing the dress I wore when I was a child. It's the only piece of clothing I have left from my childhood, so it means the world to me. It was so exciting to actually put it on her...even if I did have to tie the back, because it was too big!

I Heart Faces...Sports in Action

Dylan plans on becoming a baseball player when he grows up. Or an astronaut. Or a doctor. Hopefully one of those dreams work out for him! He was still too young to join a t-ball team this year, but he is eagerly awaiting next year. He has some crazy good baseball skills for a 4 year old (my cheekbone and abdomen have been witness to that), and I love taking pictures of him playing.

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is Sports in Action. This is the photo I chose to enter. I took it the other night, as we were playing baseball in our backyard. I was, indeed, trying to pitch to him, and take the pictures! The look on his face cracks me up!

I Heart Faces...Let's Hear It For The Boys!

The theme at I Heart Faces this week is Let's Hear It For The Boys!

I have been waiting for several weeks to use this photo in one of the weekly themes, so this week is perfect! I took this picture of Dylan, in May, and I instantly fell in love with it. He had just found a baby toad the day before, and was refusing to set it free. I told him to play with it outside before letting it go, and I found him snuggling "Mr. Toad" in his play house. He did eventually let "Mr. Toad" go, but not without shedding a few tears.

This is my entry for the Kids Category:

I Heart Faces-Sepia Toned

The theme at I Heart Faces this week is Sepia Toned.

I wasn't planning on entering I Heart Faces this week, because I'm so indecisive, and couldn't decide on a picture to use. Today, I was playing around with my camera, and playing with the sepia format, and when I uploaded them to my computer, I came across this one. For some reason, my eyes kept wandering back to this picture, so I figured I'd toss aside all the ones I was considering, and just use this one!

So here's my photo for the I Heart (Sepia Toned) Faces, kids category.

Alexandria...27 months and full of sass!
