Share Your Ears: A Cute & Simple "Mickey Mouse Ears" Hairstyle

Share Your Ears! A Cute & Simple Mickey (or Minnie) Mouse Ears Hairstyle #hairstyles #mickeymouse #ShareYourEars

This post is sponsored by Make-A-Wish Foundation but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

During the month of November, many families like mine focus on volunteering and giving back. This month, there's a fun and easy way to do so! In celebration of 90 years of Mickey Mouse, and to honor the 130,000th wish granted from Make-A-Wish, Disney is asking fans to "Share Your Ears" to help make wishes come true for children with critical illnesses!

It's so easy to join in on the fun, and help make a difference! From now until November 27th, 2018, all you have to do is publicly share a photo of you or your family showing off your Mickey Mouse ears or any creative "ears" on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using #ShareYourEars and Disney will donate US $5 to Make-A-Wish. Disney will be donating as part of the Disney Team of Heroes commitment to give comfort and inspiration to families around the world!

Maybe you are already a Disney fan and have your own Mickey Mouse ears. If not, you can still easily participate by making your own! ANY ears will do! At 22 weeks pregnant, I'm not really feeling overly creative right now, but if you have long hair, it is super easy to create "ears" using your own hair! Not only is it simple to do, but it's super cute, too!

Calling All Disney Lovers! {Netflix #StreamTeam}

Things sure have changed since I was a child! That fact is evident every single day that I spend with my four children. Their childhoods are so much different than my own childhood which was not all that long ago.

There is one thing, however, that remained the same. The magic of Disney! My childhood was full of Disney movies and Disney princesses. I knew all the movies by heart and ran around belting out the songs. The years flew by, but surprisingly, that aspect of my life hasn't changed one bit!

You see, I live with two adorable princesses...

...one amazing (Lion) King...

and another king who pulled the sword out of the stone and became the King of Moody Tweens Exasperated By Their Annoying Parents.

My days are full of princesses kissing frogs...

070

princesses escaping from behind locked doors to venture into the wild outdoors (shoes optional)...

magic carpet rides...

lion cubs growing up way too quickly because they just can't wait to be king...

sisterly squabbles and sisterly bonds (though not much snow these days)...

...and non-stop drama that leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat!

SO...have you heard the big news? Starting this month Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney (and Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar)! Although you will already see some Disney titles on Netflix there are still more to come!

First up is the title I'm most excited about: On September 20th, Zootopia will be coming to Netflix! Will the next few days pass by s-l-o-w-l-y or will it be here in the blink of an eye? Since our family missed seeing this movie in the movie theater, we will be enjoying it during our next Family Movie Night! There's nothing better than curling up on the couch with popcorn and rootbeer floats and enjoying a Disney movie together!

As for some old Disney favorites already streaming on Netflix, we recently introduced our little tribe to Tarzan! They loved the characters as much as I did when I saw it as a teenager. They were extra excited when I pulled down a box stored in my closet and gave them some stuffed animals I had from the movie!

Another Disney favorite that we were eager to introduce our kids to was Robin Hood. This movie is a classic! It came out way before I was born but I still fell in love with the fox and the bear while learning the story of Robin Hood. Since it's an older movie I was worried that our kids would think it was old and boring but it captured their attention!

It's not just us parents who introduce new movies! In the Spring, Dylan's class read Holes and he wanted to watch the movie after they were done reading the book.  Our entire family ended up enjoying the movie!

These are just a few of the Disney titles currently streaming on Netflix and there are plenty more to come!

As a parent I've experienced the joy of watching my Disney favorites with my kids. I don't sing alone anymore. Now I have 4 sidekicks belting out Disney tunes along with me! No matter how much life changes the love for all things Disney stays strong through each generation!

Are you excited about this big news? Which Disney title are you hoping shows up on Netflix?

In addition to the Disney titles here's what's new on Netflix for Kids, Tweens, Teens and Families:
