How is it already the middle of October?!? I swear, having 4 kids isn't difficult, but life with 4 is busy! There simply isn't enough time to do everything. I feel like I wake up, blink, and the day is over!
Here's a glimpse of our first half of October:
Celebrating: Down Syndrome Awareness Month. I'm sure most people are aware, but a lot of the information is wrong or misunderstood. I love sharing Liam's beautiful smile every day, along with a fact about Down Syndrome. You can find all my posts here.
Watching: We finished Orange is the New Black on Netflix (so addictive!), then moved on to season 3 of New Girl. Fall TV is back, which means we're watching Homeland (LOVE!), The Walking Dead (weekly dose of anxiety), Parenthood (sobfest), and American Horror Story (what is up with the clown?!?).
Speaking of Netflix, I am thrilled to announce that I will be part of the Netflix #StreamTeam! We love Netflix, and I'm so excited for this opportunity to work with them. Look for my monthly posts over the next year!
Cooking: I stepped up my ballgame and I'm attempting two new recipes a month. So far, we tried Crockpot Chicken Taco Soup and Chicken Fried Rice. Both recipes were a HIT!
I'm going to share the Crockpot Chicken Taco Soup Recipe, because we love it so much! My friend, Tracy, gave me the recipe. Thanks, Tracy! I tweaked it a bit to use what I had.
Step 1: Put the following ingredients in the crockpot.
3 chicken breasts
1 large can tomato puree (she uses 2 cans chopped tomatoes)
Bag of Frozen Corn
5 cans of beans (don't drain-I used black, pinto, and kidney beans)
Packet of taco seasoning
Packet of Ranch Dressing Mix
Step 2: Cook on high for 6 hours.
Step 3: Shred Chicken and mix the chicken back into the soup.
Step 4: Serve with rice, tortilla chips, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream.
It is so easy and SO good!
Shopping: I couldn't resist some cute Thanksgiving outfits for Liam!
OR these adorable Christmas dresses for Lily! (They are from The Hairbow Company! Their stuff is so cute. You can click the link on my right sidebar!)
New Product Love: I ordered Frozen cups from Tupperware. My girls love them and they seriously don't leak! My friend, Steph, is my tupperware girl!
Trying Out: My girls love their new Littlest Pet Shop Sets from Bzzagent!
I LOVE the Braun No Touch + Forehead Thermometer that was in my Braun VoxBox from Influenster! This is now a must have in my house!
*I received these products complimentary for testing purposes. Reviews coming soon!
School Pictures: They turned out REALLY good!
Fall Fun: Park picnics with best friends.
SWINGING!
Blustery Football games.
Fall weather (Then hot again! And cool again!).
Beautiful Autumn Days.
Chasing Geese!
Halloween Treat Trees and Treats!
New Halloween Hats.
And NEW skills! Liam can walk behind a walker now, and he is starting speech therapy on Friday! BIG BOY!
Coming Up: Book Fairs, Birthdays, and Halloween Celebrations!
Happy October!

I love the Down Syndrome facts you are posting. I consider myself generally to be a well-informed person but I have been learning so much from you. Thank you for sharing with us!
