Every summer, our friends, Tracy and Gary, host a 4th of July picnic. It's never on the 4th, but that's okay, because that means they can attend our picnic on the 4th and we can go to their picnic! Double the fun!
This year, it was held on July 5th, and we were happy to extend the 4th of July celebration!
The picnic started with some playtime outside.
Lily had so much fun that it resulted in broken flip flops. Broken, as in split into 2-3 pieces each!!!
There were so many fireworks that the first round started early!
We ate tons of delicious food, then played some more.
The afternoon flew by in a flash, and we settled down for another fireworks show!
There was a funny incident involving Liam knocking down Lexie's chair!
The fireworks lured Lily to sleep.
After the fireworks ended, I moved sleeping Lily into the house, put Liam in his pajamas, and helped Tracy clean up her house.
Celebrating the 4th of July two days in a row was so much fun!
Liam was a big fan of his first 4th of July!

I love seeing the pictures of Dylan and Lexie taking care of the little ones - they are so loving and sweet with them!
ReplyDeleteThank you! They're good kids!
DeleteOne of my most favorite things is kids dressed up in red, white, and blue. I love all of these patriotic pictures. I love the picture of Lexie and Liam after the chair tanked. How cute is that!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I couldn't help but laugh! Glad I got it on camera!
DeleteWhat a fun summer you are having! That is great that you celebrate twice. Double the fun for sure!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated 4th of July!! It looks like both days were a hit! And better yet, no one was afraid of the fireworks! Your children always have such amazing smiles!
ReplyDeleteAwww, you got some super cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Logan looks like a big kid. Sigh, he is growing up!
ReplyDeleteLily and Logan together, LOVE!
I am glad we get to spend an extended 4th of July party with you all! This year the picnic was the best. So glad you were there.
