"We Take Photographs As A Return Ticket To A Moment Otherwise Gone." -Katie Thurmes
I love taking pictures! Although portraits are my specialty, I love to capture the ordinary everyday moments, too. I take pictures daily on both my DSLR and iPhone, but only share a small fraction of the pictures I take. Life has been so boring for the past few months due to the quarantine, so instead of sharing the continuous loop of each day at home in a weekly recap, I'm going to share my favorite DSLR photos, month by month, over the next few weeks!
After months of social distancing, and days of extremely hard work, I am exhausted mentally and physically. I have so many things I want to share, but I only have the energy to share a few of my favorite pictures right now. I'm going to start with February, make my way through March, April, and May, and hopefully by the end of it, life will be somewhat normal so I can get back to weekly recaps!
February was our last full normal month of 2020. Isn't that sad to say? Who would have ever thought that this would happen?!? I had a monthly recap prepared to post in the middle of March, but it just depressed me to look back on everything we took for granted, so I deleted it.
February was a good month. Valentine's Day, school events, Coen learning how to walk alone, and Lexie's birthday kept us busy! If I had known then what I know now, I would have filled it with so many more outings! (The month ended with a scary hospital stay, which should probably be an upcoming post, since we're still dealing with it!)
February was a month full of beautiful moments. Funny enough, the everyday moments were captured mostly at home, which is where we have been for the past 2 1/2 months, so not much will look like it has changed from these pictures. If I do and iPhone recap at some point, that perspective will definitely change!
So here we go. Here is a glimpse at our beautiful everyday moments in February! No words now - just pictures. Sometimes I like to let my photos tell the story!
February was beautiful until the very end. But in case you're wondering, this is how the last few days of the month went. Little did we know, 2020 would continue to go downhill from there!
More to come...
