That is, according to Lexie!
We went out of our way to make this birthday extra special for Lexie. She had a year full of big changes, so she deserved it!
The celebration started the night before, with an early birthday present! She loved her Furry Frenzy Hamster wheel set, and had fun playing with it until bedtime!
Lexie jumped out of bed yesterday morning. She was so excited about her birthday!
She was greeted with a gift bag full of lip glosses (she's slightly obsessed) and Lalaloopsy body lotions and lip balms.
After sending Dylan off to school, we got the girls ready to go, and took Lexie to breakfast. She chose Dunkin Donuts!
It was her snack day/class party at school, so we stopped to buy an extra special snack of cupcakes and goldfish. Lexie brought home a special birthday hat, birthday pencil, and a card signed by all of her classmates! As an added bonus, she got to bring the class pet (a stuffed dog), Steeler, home! Steeler was by her side for the remainder of the day!
After school was over, we had a playdate at the library!
Once we got home, we baked her birthday cake!
Then she got to open another birthday present. It was a case for her DSi and a Monster High DS game!
She played her game for a few minutes, but all the celebrating wore her out!
She woke up grumpy, but by that time, Dylan was home, and cheered her up with his present to her: A Lalaloopsy Little Sisters doll! She gave him a bonk on the head in return!
Lexie got to choose where to go out to eat for her birthday dinner. She chose a local restaurant, The Deckhouse. It's a great place for kids! A TV at the table, a magician wandering around, and a special birthday wheel to spin! After eating dinner, watching Spongebob, and being wowed by some magic tricks, Lexie got to spin the birthday wheel. She was lucky enough to win $5!
We came home, and took some pictures with the birthday girl!
Finally, it was time to open the rest of her presents!!!
We got her a tiny Lalaloopsy doll, a Percy Jackson (her favorite movie) figure, a Lego Friends set, a Barbie sisters doll and tent, a Furry Frenzies Scoot and Scurry City, and a Barbie Camper! She said her favorite gift was the Percy Jackson Medusa figure (a $2.98 clearance find...HA!).
After presents, we sang Happy Birthday to Lexie. She was very surprised to see a new Monster High Doll on the cake, and then cracked up as it fell off the cake!
As she was getting ready for bed, Lexie declared, "This was the best. birthday. EVER!!!"
And just like that, she's five.
Awhhhh :) Whst a fun family birthday party!
